Summer Inspiration at All About Home #97

I'm still in recovery mode after having lumbar spine fusion a couple of weeks ago and I really wasn't prepared for what that would be like. I'm using a walker and I basically have to rely on my husband for all the little things. Any little "off move" can cause pain and put things at a standstill. But I can see small improvement each day. It will just take a while. Thankyou again and again for your thoughts and prayers.

Lovely Lemony Daisy Arrangement on the Sideboard

Hi Friends. A few weeks ago I wanted to update and give a summer refresh to the sideboard here in the Hearth Room. I'd had a tabletop wooden wheelbarrow filled with my Garden Pot/Seed Packet Wreath and some vintage garden-y things, but it was a little too spring-y for mid-June. It was time for some early summer flowers to make an appearance.

I took a week off because of back surgery at the beginning of June. Last year I had cervical spine fusion... this year it has been my lower back. Thanks so much for your good thoughts and prayers. Summer Containers on the Porch and in the Garden

Hi Friends, I thought I'd share a quick post with some pics of my containers out back and on the front porch. These were taken a couple of weeks ago, so they are just barely blooming, not really filled out at all. This is my first time posting since I had the back surgery a week ago today. I had to have my husband help with all the "heavy lifting" to get these containers put together. He's not a gardening fan; I can barely wring enough sympathy out of him to water them while I've been "indisposed". He enjoys seeing how much color they add to the porch and the pretty blooms, he's just been trapped in an office for years, so his mind doesn't gravitate to extra stuff outdoors that might be considered work.

Vintage Botanical Print in the Early Summer Entry

It had been since before Easter that I gave the Entry a seasonal freshen up. I wanted to make a few changes that would carry this area easily into Summer. I had my husband pull out the floral tubs last week, but then I decided to just keep the paperwhites here a bit longer. They're one of my favorite go-to faux flower looks. I had plenty of other arrangements to freshen up to move into Summer.
