Burlap and Brown Transferware

two of my favorite things...

Hi Everyone, Happy Sunday!
It really IS a happy Sunday, as I'm back home from the hospital and want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you who left comments on my last post. Blogger wasn't updating some blogs last week, (I was just one of many) so I hope this one will show up on your readers, email, and blog lists.

I'll give you some photos of my latest Late Fall Vignette where I wanted to say a BIG Thank You to Sherry of No Minimalist Here who hosted a wonderful Give Away this Fall for a generous gift certificate to Antiques Lifestyle. I used my gift certificate to pick out this beautiful Hand Stenciled Burlap Tablerunner. You can find more like it at Laurie's beautiful Etsy Shop. Thank you so much Laurie and Sherry!

My Dining Room table is currently "under construction"
for my Thanksgiving Tablescape, which I'll be sharing with you this week.
So one of my Bergere Chairs in the Living Room had to make do.

Isn't that design amazing?!

I can't wait to get it on my table!

So, back to the Late Fall Vignette in the lower level sitting area
next to my French Doors, which let in the afternoon sunlight.

This was last Tuesday, you should see the amount of leaves out there now.

I gathered some of my Brown Transferware; platters, plates, sugars and creamers together to decide what I wanted to use for the Tablescape.

Just random bits and pieces of patterns...

I've been building my Tablescape Centerpiece with just naturals,
and here are some dried pods I was using.

I found the olive bucket on Decor Steals earlier this Fall.
It definitely was less expensive than any where else I had seen.

I was in the hospital Tuesday until Saturday night, and had lot's of tests run to see if we could understand where the blood clots are coming from and if there were any permanent problems from them. I've tried several blood thinning drugs, and we now feel like we have things under control. God has been gracious to me, as any one of them that was moving around in there could have caused a stroke, but it didn't happen. I may be going a little slower in blogging until I can get my self back, but the weekly parties won't change. Be sure and come by tomorrow morning, and throughout the week for The Marketplace.

You all are loved and appreciated,
thank you for the prayers and caring thoughts,
and thank you for being such good friends.

Just a note...

to let you know I'll be away for a few days for tests. I've had a couple of blood clots in my heart and it's time to see what's happening. Please keep me in your prayers, I love you all.

The Marketplace: Etsy and Boutique Showcase

Here we are in the first week of November and the Holiday Season is going to be upon us before we can say "Holly Jolly Christmas"! Last year I bought most of my Christmas gifts from Etsy sellers. I think we can find those wonderful personal items through web shopping and privately owned storefronts much easier than any Big Box store. So have fun linking and shopping this week, I'm so glad to have you join in for the link party! Here's some fun from last week's link-up:

Rustic Farmhouse Scales
Vintage Retrievers

Rebecca Vintage Living

Give Thanks Banner

Gizmo and Hooha

Coco and Bear

Third Shift

Mission Jewels

This is a linky party that is for items that are FOR SALE only. You don't have to have a blog to link up. If you have a blog post about your items that's great too, but they need to be available to purchase. Please try to link to the individual item that you are selling if possible. Please be a follower of Common Ground and if you have a blog it would be so nice for you to grab the image below to share somewhere on your blog. (not mandatory, just nice).

And remember this link is open all week,
so stop back by to link up and shop the new items being listed.
Thanks for coming by,

The Marketplace Showcase is Live

I'm not sure what's going on with Blogger today, but many of the blogs are not updating, and mine seems to be one of them. I can't get today's post to show up on bloglists, but The Marketplace is live, so hopefully this post will show up in your reader and bloglist. One more reason to love Mondays and Blogger.

Just scroll down to the next post.

Looking back, toward Thanksgiving

Boy, am I thankful for that extra hour today...I've been trying to play catch-up since getting back from St. Louis, and I'm behind on almost everything. So today I thought I'd just share a few pics from year's past Thanksgivings. It's such a short season, that sometimes I don't get a lot of photos of how things transition from Halloween to Thanksgiving, and then on into Christmas.

Planting Paperwhites, which is a tradition I've had for the last 8 years or so.

(remember, you can click on the image for it to become much bigger)

Setting up a small tree in the Dining Room right after Halloween, which then became known as my Autumn Tree. Filled with woodland creatures, owls and berries, I think I love it as much as a Christmas Tree.

My urn on the Living Room table went from Pumpkin
to multicolored dried Hydrangeas and preserved leaves.

A shot of my Hall Sideboard for Thanksgiving
and a few of the Entry and another small tree in the Living Room.

And last year's Dining Room table with some paperwhites
in an ironstone tureen on simple white burlap.

I've mentioned before how this blog has really been a virtual diary of my seasonal decor.  I'm working on a vintage Thanksgiving tablescape that has been really fun putting together. I love the colors of this Thanksgiving Season... bringing in the jeweled tones of Autumn, with just a hint of Christmas to come.

Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday.
I'll see you tomorrow for

If you have an Etsy Shop or Online Boutique
please come link up some of your items currently For Sale
then stay to have some shopping fun!

Be Inspired #163:

Hi Everyone and Welcome to
 Be Inspired!

The proverbial apple doesn't fall far from the tree in the case of my daughters, they both love vintage. In the case of my older daughter, who has a degree in computer illustration, she not only loves pillows, but has a fondness for black cats.

She doesn't know this yet, but this pillow may possibly disappear.
I think this is a likeness of the Black Cat Fireworks image from years ago.

This was waiting for me when we arrived.

Her Dining Room table

Window sill in kitchen.

OK, on to the fun of last week's great links.
Here are a few that I loved.

LOVE these wonderful Joss and Main Slipcovered Chairs
that Cindy from Dwellings recently purchased.

I featured this fabulous French Lantern
from Laura at Decor to Adore earlier this Spring.
They recently installed it, just gorgeous!!

Kimberly always has the wow factor when she decorates; indoors or out.
She shared her new home's Fall Urn at Serendipity Refined

Wonderful outdoor shoot of this vintage Fall Farmhouse Table
from Denise at Pink Postcard

Preserving  Leaves with wax paper
from Ann Marie at Musings of a Vintage Junkie

You'll love Lana's fabulous French Script Chair
at European Vintage.

Audrey from Timeless Treasures and her hubby created this amazing Dugout Wooden Trough. You'll want to see the start to finish of this great project.

So delicious...Pumpkin Funnel Cake
from Cara at Craft Dictator

Thanks everyone for coming by to share the inspiration!!
