Holiday Dining with Plaid and Toile

With all the Holiday parties this week, I thought I'd do a separate post with just my Dining Room decor. Sorry if you've seen these photos before, but hope you enjoy the full view...

The last few years I've done white and neutrals in the Dining Room. This year my French Country roots started to show because I wanted my red toile back, and then some of that love of "traditional" came along too. So what did I do?...combined the two. Traditional red and green Christmas colors with a little twist.

I added the little Christmas Cloche this week with the
tiny vintage reindeer and bottle brush trees.

My bottle brush wreath and lamb collection on the sideboard.

Hope you enjoyed the Dining Room tour (again)
I'm joining in with:

lots of fun planned this week!

Holiday Copy Cat Challenge

Last year I put this together for a Christmas Cloche,
so this year I wanted to do it again, but I added silver glitter
to my vintage bleached bottle brush trees.

That little prancing white reindeer
just stole my heart.

...and a teensy silver Shiny Brite.

on my mother's milk glass cake stand.

I'm joining in for Debbie's Copy Cat Challenge;
the kick off for the Christmas Block parties with At the Picket Fence.

This has to be one of the sweetest things I've ever seen.
You know I love lambs...and a good cashmere scarf!

Just click on the adorable lambs.

Bad News, Good News

I know when I see post titles like this that I automatically think the worst..."oh no...what's happened?" Nothing earth shaking here, just a little blip on my radar screen. My camera that is attached to my hands is having to go back to the manufacturer for a tweak on a part.
After I had a slight melt down and panic attack I had to get real and deal with the situation. So here we have it...

The Bad news...my camera will be gone for a week or so.
The Good news...it's still under warranty.
The Bad news...it's Christmas and I have so many photos I want to take.
The Good news...the camera isn't completely "broken" so I can still take a few shots for the next few days to "tide me over" until I have to get it in the mail.
The Bad news... I've realized I have a slight addiction to my camera, and "separation anxiety" is a horrible thing.
The Good news...I have all of you out there to gather inspiration and share.
The Bad news...my hands are feeling weird like I'm getting ready to lose a few fingers or something...
The Good news...Pinterest
The Bad News...I'm not finished decorating...and taking pictures!
The Good News...It's Christmas!!!

OK, enough of the pity party...My photos may be minimum as I try to "streeeeeeeeetch" them out. I think I'm going to be doing a few inspiration hunting missions from you all out there in blogland. I've seen some great ideas and this is the perfect time to share them! So keep this in mind please and don't think I'm totally void of my own decorating and inspiration this year.

I'm hoping this won't be as traumatic as I'm thinking it could be.

Here are a few more photos from the Dining Room,
to continue from Vintage Inspiration Friday...

Don't forget about all the fun coming up this week with the
 Christmas Block Party

Vintage Inspiration Friday is still going strong,
just scroll down to join in.

Hope you're having a great Saturday.
I'm going to now go take pictures of every thing I can find!!

Addictions are a pain...

Vintage Inspiration Friday # 66 Toile, Plaid and the Winners!

One concept has been going on in my head as I've started decorating
for Chistmas this year, and that is that I want to
do something different.
It's easy to get stuck in a rut each year,
so I've been changing things up a bit.

This is a peek at what I'm doing in the Dining Room.
You all know how I love plaid,
but usually I've corralled it in the Sunroom.
This year I ran with it for the Dining Room too.

But I love me some red toile,
so that's also part of the fun this year.

and of course, add a little of this on the tree...

mix it all together, and you get some of this...

more coming on the Dining Room soon...
