I'm so glad you're here, because today I'm joining a great group of bloggers as we share our love for all things vintage with the Lifestyle of Love Blog Hop, hosted by our wonderful friend Cindy from County Road 407. We were given the topic of "How we use Cabinets and Hutches in our decor". Well, let me tell you I was jumping for joy when I saw that I would get to share one of my favorite pieces of furniture.
This time of year in late Spring, we just don't know what each day's weather will bring. Even the weather forecasters aren't sure. One day it's sunny and 80, the next day it pours rain all day and is in the 60's. I took these pics in April and wanted to get a few more of the Garden Room this last week, but I decided to just go ahead and share them before tulip-time was over.
Back in 2013 after seeing a few versions of flower pot garden wreaths, I put together my own take using a grapevine wreath as the base with small whitewashed flower pots and French seed labels attached to paper tags. Since I'm such a fan of vintage garden goods and ephemera, I've loved using this each year during the Spring and Summer seasons. I just needed to figure out a place to put it here at this house.
I love to change up the wicker settee here in the Garden Room because seasonal color with vintage quilts and pillows can instantly change the feel of any space. After Christmas I put out a new quilt I bought last year on sale from Pottery Barn because I was looking for a lighter, brighter vibe. I didn't realize back in January when I put this out that this quilt would carry me thru winter and spring.
After all the vibrant color of Easter decor, right now I needed to see something that speaks of nature for springtime. Bunnies and eggs and whimsical pieces that filled my cupboard earlier in the month have given way to some neutral elements and the idea of letting "nature" take her wild and beautiful approach.
Hi Friends, Welcome to the All About Home Link Party.
Thankyou for taking the time to come by
and share your week with us.
Another month has passed and April is here. I hope you had a wonderful Easter week. We had so many wonderful links with beautiful Easter Inspiration this spring. I wish we would have had more time to celebrate Easter. I really love having it later in April. We may put the bunnies away, but hey, there's a lot more spring inspiration out here! So glad you're here with us.
Hi Friends, so glad you're here for the Celebrating Easter Mini Hop! Today I'm joining in with five other blogging friends to share a bit of our fun Easter Decor. My sweet friend Amber from Follow the Yellow Brick Home is hosting our small group today that's big on Easter Joy! If you're coming from Amber's then WELCOME, and I'm happy you're following along with our Hop.
Sometimes when pieces just "work" for a spot or space I leave them alone. That's what has happened in the Entry here at this house. I changed things up more at the previous house, but this entry is so light and bright it calls for like-minded pieces. It seems that whatever I place here tends to be a neutral color or something that doesn't overpower the basic feel of the space.
