Celebrating Advent in the Entry

It's easy to let the fun and busy-ness of the Holidays to take over, and before we know it the Santas and Snowmen and Elves have decorated our homes and heads at Christmas. I know I love to decorate every room, and sometimes I need a spot that I can focus on for the real meaning of Christmas. So when Amber from Follow the Yellow Brick Home invited us to a Hop that celebrates Advent I knew I would love to participate. Easter's on it's Way in the Entry

Celebrating Easter this year will be different, but maybe even more special as we seek spiritual hope and guidance during this uncertain time. When we watch the news or think too much about what's going on in the world around us, we might be considering putting some things on hold. Blogging about decor might seem frivolous to some but helps many of us stay plugged in with others and social. And... it's a wonderful way to stay positive and inspired.

Enter Thanksgiving

I had a brief thought of just whizzing by decorating for Thanksgiving and doing a more Christmas look, but in the end I just couldn't get there. I love late Fall and Thanksgiving, and I just wasn't up for full on Christmas. So I compromised a bit and brought out my "oatmeal" tree (looks like oatmeal) and called it good.

Summer Entry wih a New Vintage Print

I like to keep things changed up... well, you all know that about me. With the patriotic flags put away, it was time to bring out something different for the next month. So here's a new light and bright vintage print in one of my favorite chippy white vintage frames. I've had this traditional British print of an old engraving for awhile, but haven't taken the time to find it a frame that did it justice.
