I look forward to the Vintage Market Open Houses here in Springfield, Missouri and Ozark all year. Fall is by far my favorite, and this year there is a special destination that makes it all the more fun. Abbey and Sara from Sweet Magnolias Farm have opened a wonderful spot at my fave vintage market, The Vintage Peddler, here in town.

Bountiful Fall Baskets Blog Hop
Using baskets has been a fun and creative way for me to decorate since I saw the first issues of Country Living Magazine back in 1978. One of the best things about them is that they can be found at any vintage market, flea, antique shop or garage sale, usually for a price that will fit anyone's budget. Baskets come in so many varieties; mostly wood products, wicker, willow, and even metals. Since I turn first to vintage finds, I have a good stash, big and small, that I can choose from. Today I'm joining in for a Fun Fall Blog Hop that's showcasing Baskets decorated for Autumn. If you're coming from Follow the Yellow Brick Home, so glad you're here. I think Amber loves this time of year just as much as I do.

Out and About and a Fall Vignette with Concrete Pears
Since I can't do a whole house Fall Tour, I'm just concentrating on small vignettes with Fall decor. Recently I've found a few fun additions to my Fall goodies lineup. Yesterday we celebrated my sister's Birthday with a trip to Spring Creek Antiques and Tea Room in Ozark, MO. One of the best lunch spots in the area, that is in the middle of a wonderful vintage market. If you're ever in the Springfield area this is a must experience spot.

Fanciful and Fun Fall Fotos, er (Photos)
Hi Friends, one of my favorite ways to find a little fun vintage inspiration is to visit all the Fall Open Houses of our amazing shopping spots here in the area. I was going back through some of my photos from the last at least 7 years and found a few of my faves. No words, just pics of a few of the many fun outings I've had during Fall. You know you can double click on the photo to biggify. Hope you enjoy...

Welcome to my un"Official" Fall Home Tour
Hi Friends, this is a post from our previous home in 2017. We may no longer live there but it's still one of my favorite Fall "Home Tours".
I think I have all the photos together now to put together my annual Fall Home Tour that I will keep on the sidebar for the rest of the season. Each year, I like to bring all the Fall Decor into one post to remind myself how I decorated that year. So I'll keep the words to a minimum and let you look around. Welcome!

Out and About for some Fall Fun
This is my favorite time of the year to be out and about.
The leaves, the cooler temps, the smells wafting from a yummy cafe;
the Autumn Colors,
...and of course browsing the fun stores here in Springfield.

Easy Fall Centerpiece with a Galvanized Watering Can
I love a centerpiece on the Kitchen Table,
and I usually have a small wooden tote here,
but recently I've had to admit, a tote may not be very practical
when you have to move it several times each day.
Filled with dishes, a candle, tea towels, or a small ivy, it can get unwieldy...
and then it becomes an accident waiting to happen!

New Shops at the Vintage Peddler
(I'm sorry, my blog keeps updating on it's own each time
I join a new party and add it on my blog post...)
I never know what to call someplace that's so totally unique...
separate spaces housed in an old manufacturing building;
shared by a group of extremely talented vendors.
A place full of vintage and curated pieces;
some new artisans and remarkable stylists,
all with a passion for antiques and vintage.
Welcome to the Vintage Peddler
(be sure and click on "read more" for the rest of the post...)

Out and About... at Harrison House Market
We have so many great places to shop in our area, with tons of talented people making it all happen. Late last spring an older shopping center in Ozark, Missouri (just south of where I live in Springfield) that was a hub for great vintage goods was sold. In an instant, the vintage shops and flea market vendors that it housed had to start looking for new homes and venues. I was so excited to learn that my favorite, Harrison House Market, has found a great spot here in town.

Out and About at Leola's Vintage Home
Hey Everyone...
I have a few pics to share from a recent visit to Leola's Vintage Home and Garden in Ozark, Missouri. I didn't make the Fall Open House, which is always a high point for me, but I knew they would still be packed with fun items for Halloween and Fall. Just walking in here fills me with inspiration, no matter what the season.

Robin's Vintage Suitcase Fall Open House
Happy Weekend, Everyone!
We're in full Fall mode here in SW Missouri,
at least with the Fall Open Houses in the area.
And I wanted to share some of the fun from last week's
Fall Open House at Robin's Vintage Suitcase.
Here are some highlights currently in the store.
Love this wonderful hand advertisement sign in white.
And does this big window look familiar to any of you?
Yes, it was in my booth at Relics, and now it lives at Robin's.
fits perfectly within an 1/8 of an inch. LOL!!
I knew she would use it to it's full potential!
Sofa painted with Robin's homemade "Plaster of Paris Paint".
Lot's of whites and grays.
Robin is also selling Jeanne d'Arc Magazine and Books at the store.
This clock is amazing, made from vintage garden tools!
Nappies and swaddling cloths from the British Company
that Prince George went home in.
Aren't these masks adorable?
This is Robin and her assistant Janet.
...then they traded.
and this customer was having fun too.
always so many fun things to see.
(remember, you can click on the image to get a better look)
we're headed for the cool down,
Yay Fall, here we come!
xoxo,
