October Garden Room and the Baker's Rack

We're at the final stretch of October, and I'm sharing my Garden Room wicker sitting area with fall seasonal color. This flying geese patterned vintage quilt is one of my favorites with golds and autumnal hued fabrics. It almost always ends up on the settee at some point in Fall.

My brown floral pillows are also a staple during the fall months. And of course pairing them with indigo ticking pillows are just the best combo for any season. The large pumpkin pillow was hand painted for me several years ago.

My sweet little kitty with his pumpkin, enjoys relaxing on the settee.

I didn't put out any "real" pumpkins this year, but bought several to enjoy decorating with inside. The squirrels have won, and have now resorted to trying to eat the faux mums and pumpkins. I have to shoo them away every time I look out the front door.

I've had this smallish twiggy wreath for a long time, and love the combo of striped and plaid fall ribbon with ferns and pomegranates. I never use my wreaths outdoors so they last years. I usually use a door basket on the front porch that I change out florals with the seasons. Since we put up a nesting box on the front porch the birdies leave the basket alone.

We recycle our pumpkins in the back yard and the wildlife take care of them completely. I've seen squirrels carrying pumpkin pieces twice their size. Not sure where they were taking them but they were intent on getting a big portion.

Did you catch my last post?

Here are a few past posts with October seasonal fun.

  1. Wow, everything looks so nice. I love when folks have things similar to each, fitting right in together. My stuff is stuff picked up here and there over the years and although they are Fall or Halloween stuff, its more a hodge podge of stuff. I love your decor.
