Love You More...

Hi Friends, This year thinking about Valentine's Day decorating, I thought I'd try to lean toward some rustic settings. January is usually a time I keep out the more rustic elements of Christmas and winter like "leftover" evergreen trees, pinecones, and winter garden elements. 

The baker's rack was already put together with those woodsy, winter elements so I thought I'd try to add in some Valentine's Day pieces and see how that worked.

January Baker's Rack

I changed up a few pieces on the shelves, then added in the Valentines. One of my ironstone pitchers took on a Christmas evergreen tree, and a few small vintage clay pots with bottle brush trees.

My paternal grandfather was a printer, and I'm fortunate to have a few of his personal cards to my grandmother.

One of my Altered Bingo Card Valentines from 2010 leans against the small spice rack. And a favorite stuffed heart sits in an old bed spring. I've had these old springs forever but usually forget to use them... hard to get more "rustic" than old bed springs.

My "Wee Lambie" feels a bit primitive so he's part of the mix.

Being the Junk lover that I am, I confiscated our front porch lantern that stopped working during our 20 below weather last month. It's not dressed up, but I thought I'd try it out instead of waiting for next Christmas. A mercury glass votive sits on the vintage books.
