I love using that theme for vignettes and centerpieces this time of the year. Of course nests are also a fun theme along with the birds for seed boxes and vintage prints. And since I love to create a theme in the Holiday Cupboard in the Garden Room, it's a perfect time and place to mix it up with anything bird related, dishes, pottery, and any spring decor.
This "May" not be an actual "May" postcard, but I love the charming and quaint English cottage theme, which seems like spring.
Here's last year's late Spring Holiday Cupboard...

ReplyDeletethanks Jeanie, so funny, every season is fun here in the cupboard!
DeleteHow sweet to have birds inside and you can finally now see them outside too. Your cupboard is always decorated so lovely. All of us are finally seeing some beautiful weather and life coming back. Have a great rest of the week. Hugs. Kris
ReplyDeletethe warm weather has been wonderful, I just want to sit on the backporch and watch the wildlife!
DeleteLove all your beautiful bird inspiration
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely collection of birds and I so LOVE the little bird figurines, prints, etc. Blessings, d
ReplyDeleteDebra, your collections are so lovely. I love the bird inspired cupboard. Birds are a joy to watch.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I love that vintage bluebird vase, as well as all the vignettes in the cupboard. I was lucky this past week and scored an old, oval framed print of bluebirds at an estate sale. I may foster it a while. 😉It's been such a busy week (mostly in the garden again) that I still have my loot in the car, just pushed it forward so I could get mulch, plants and dirt loaded in the rear end! (and that's why I'm so late catching up with my friends' blog posts!). Have a good Memorial weekend, in case I get lost in the garden again.
ReplyDeleteYour corner cabinet looks great! Love the bird inspired theme.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty bird vignette, Debra!! I love all of your old and chippy terra cotta pots. The theme you chose for your cupboard is perfect for this time of year!!
ReplyDeleteI recall my grandfather bird watching when I was a little girl, he always seemed so fascinated with what they were doing. At the time, I didn't understand it, but as I have gotten older, I can certainly understand the simplicity of bird watching, and actually enjoy it. I only have a few pieces, but I keep my eye out for new items all of the time. You have some lovely birds in your cupboard Debra.
