Spring Baker's Rack in the Garden Room

I have a hard time packing up all the bunnies once Easter is over. (How about you?) Because well... Spring is definitely rabbit season, and there's just a lot of fun still left in having a bunny fluffle hanging around the spring garden room.

I haven't shared the Baker's Rack in the Garden Room since Christmas when I had it all decked out in vintage Copper items. Using Copper and Neutrals on the Christmas Baker's Rack. This was the first time I used any copper pieces in my Christmas décor.

Back to this Spring... I brought out my fois bois and majolica pitchers earlier this spring and I'm going to keep them out for a bit longer. Something which I haven't used for years, and don't think I've ever shared, is the bunny tureen on the top shelf.

I think the shelf looks more "spring" than Easter right now. I did have this print out in place of the lamb illustration last week, but changed it out after Easter. It's a black and white Easter postcard originally that I reproduced and framed. I think everything else stayed the same.

I think this handsome handpainted sheep was once a part of a handmade nativity scene.

Another permanent fixture here is the old wooden stenciled "SEED" box. This month 2 of my old sheep are hanging out inside along with a majolica bunny plate and a "sheep head" wall planter.

The moss bunny is old and has seen better days, but he's very organic and texture-y.  The green garden box is a seed box of sorts I put together years ago. I don't think the green paint finish on it is original but it's been there for years. I'm pretty sure it was painted that way when I found it.

This little vintage spice drawer cabinet is a fixture here on the baker's rack. This season it's filled with moss, small clay pots and a mini bunny and chick. The drawers are small, but fun to tuck in something sweet and seasonal.

Do your bunnies hang out after Easter, too?

  1. We have the same baker's rack -- and the similarity ends there! Yours looks so lovely with all it's beautiful things. And mine has -- well, a big basket of baggies, cat food, the blender.... I admire this so much! And all the pretty things on it work so well together. Gorgeous, Debra!

  3. Gorgeous Debra and I'm swooning over your Majolica pitchers. Especially the one with the rabbits. You always make things beautiful. Our weather is nuts. Today and tomorrow in the upper 80's and then back to the 50's and 60s. I guess that's spring.

    1. We've been up and down too, I've lost a lot of plants and shrubs over the winter, but I'm hoping a few things will green up eventually. Loved your mossy vase I've been seeing!

  5. I love bunnies year round, they always remind me of my mother. She had a set that she painted years ago that were always on display. I love your bunny pitcher, so many wonderful pitchers!

    1. thanks so much Cara, so many times I just put them all away if Easter is later in April. But this year with Easter early, they're sticking around for a while!
