I've loved this Big Bunny Face graphic since I'd seen it several years ago, so when I found it on a pillow cover from Amazon recently I had to have him to celebrate the season. He reminds me of the Peter Rabbit illustrations of Beatrix Potter so many years ago. Realistic, but a little whimsical, too.
I've had to laugh a bit at the thought of how our kitties might have reacted to this large critter face with huge black beady eyes. They would have been wary and standoffish for sure. But this adorable face just creates a smile on my face and it livens up the hearth room with the thought of all the fun spring antics of bunnies. He's here on my comfy reading chair with a vintage pastel yo-yo pillow.
I shared the mantel and hearth dressed for Easter and Spring last week. You can read that post here.
I used my two vintage graphic standup "cutouts" along with my French Sheep framed grainsack on the mantel. Two vases of real touch tulips and topiaries round it all out with a spring-y feel.
This is my cozy spot, and a place we congregate with family when they visit. It's right next to the kitchen and the island where we usually find ourselves.
A muted floral quilt from Pottery Barn has become a spring and summer fixture in the hearth room and garden room. Two tan floral silk pillows that I made many years ago amazingly match. And a "Garden" script lavender striped lumbar pillow from a friend, creates a cozy spot on the sofa.
The antique family sideboard along the wall holds linens and is a fun spot to decorate throughout the seasons.
One of my vintage wicker floral baskets holds faux forsythia and a reproduction vintage graphic in the shape of an Easter egg. Two antique white ironstone soup tureens are on either side.
I have a bunch of faux daffodils in a fois bois white pitcher on the bench/coffee table.
Catch the Mantel post from last week in case you missed it HERE.
And my last post earlier this week, I shared a sweet neutral Easter Cloche...
