Woodsy Cloche for Spring and Easter

A few weeks ago I put together a post with Spring and Easter cloche inspiration. My personal favorites always include not only a focal point, but surrounded with some kind of botanical element like florals, grapevine, bird nests, or moss. Figural elements such as rabbits, lambs, dishes, and graphics are always a beautiful way to create a small vignette and elevate it to visual importance.

I use Pinterest frequently to save and categorize my interests, especially holidays and seasonal decor. Over the years of blogging I've seen so many fabulous ideas, many from fellow decor bloggers and creatives. I love to go back through my boards that are pertaining to whatever season we're approaching, as they give me so many ideas and never fail to lift me up and encourage my own creativity. 

I wanted to put together a cloche for the dining room table where I've been using the rustic wood garden tray since last Fall. I love using this French-y look tray for many of my vintage garden-y themed centerpieces. This Spring I have a large pottery vase filled with faux paperwhites surrounded with clay pots and seed starting peat pots. Moss, raffia, faux hydrangeas and grapevines anchor all the elements.

The focal point of this cloche is a set of rabbit canape plates that I found recently on Poshmark. I'd first seen and "pinned" these adorable "neutral" rabbit illustrative plates from my lovely fellow blogger Jacqueline of the blog Cabin and Cottage. They were sold at HomeGoods I believe to begin with, but at that point we didn't have one locally, so I logged them in my brain as something to try to find at another time.

This year I thought I would try again, and amazingly, someone had them for sale on Poshmark. I grabbed them up without thinking twice. I usually use pastels for Easter, but these little guys were so charming I knew I could make a beautiful cloche for Easter and Spring with a neutral palatte.

For a base I'm using the large pedestal riser that I found at Antique Farmhouse, that so many of us have. Each one is different and beautiful and I whitewashed mine a bit to blend in with my whites and antique whites. The super size glass cloche is a little large but I wanted to ad the extra grapevine nest and a few blooms, so I needed extra space.

My Creamware teapot from Leeds is sitting on the extra plates. 

To balance out the tableau I put together two more smaller cloches in neutrals. They are snuggled in grapevine nests sitting on silver baskets.

You've seen these two little guys before. They're here every Christmas and Easter.

I changed up the table back in late February to use the paperwhites for early Spring.
