Hello Spring at All About Home #188

Hey Everyone! Wow, it's been reaaaaaallllly cold this last week! I mean in the mid-teens overnight and feels more like January than March. Hopefully this coming week is going to be warmer, so we can ditch these horrible night time temps. My massive Tulip tree that covers most of the drive has been decimated this season right as all the amazing pink/lavender blooms were opening. My robins are back in town and they are shivering in their little booties. At this point I'm ready for April and Easter to show up.

Amber from Follow the Yellow Brick Home and I are so excited to be co-hosting this fun link party, that celebrates "All Things Home". We love to see what You are up to each week, so please join in with your decor, seasonal fun, gardens, DIYs, recipes and more. We each pick and share features each week, so be sure and visit both of us to check out the weekly highlights.

I'm moving toward Easter and shared some inspiration from the "Way-Back Machine" last week with a post on cloche inspiration and earlier in the week shared my Garden Room sitting area dressed for St. Patrick's Day. I love creating a cloche for holidays and seasons, with rabbits and bunnies being such a fun subject with so many ways to display them.

Amber is sharing some gorgeous early spring flowers and decor

Here are some great posts from last week with beautiful Spring and Easter decor and a decadent chocolate pie...

  6. Hi Debra! I think we've had our last really cold night for the foreseeable forecast - yay! No more running out to cover the peonies that grew so tall in late February, early March. I'm in at #118 with a pink & green tablescape to go with your garden room quilt. 😉It's gone from low 20s this morning to 63° now as I type this, and I LOVE it! I love Lee Ann's finish on that chest, and Laura's visit to Moss Mtn Farm was wonderful! Thank you for inviting us in each week. Happy Spring!

  10. Hi Debra! I also am glad to see the spring birds just begining to return here in Iowa. No robins yet, but the red-wing blackbirds are back. We have had a red cardinal here all winter, who hangs out on our birdfeeder in front of the window all day and fights the other poor birds away. He's there so much, right next to the kitchen window, we are beginning to call him our "roommate". :-)

  11. Debra, thank you for featuring my bird's nest this week. That was such a great surprise! We have had a bit of cold weather in the last few days and it took out my tulips too (even some of the new buds on the trees). I had to dig back out my kids winter coats. But hopefully that was it. Always a pleasure to come and link up. Have a good week.
