Hi Friends, Hope you had a Happy Valentine's Day. I'm a little late getting this post out, but I wanted to share this with you on this special day that we celebrate all things lovely and romantic. And what could be sweeter than a precious hanging heart made from vintage lace?
I started my Pinterest page at the very beginning, and I mean the very beginning. Some people have a plan with Pinterest, but my pins have always been purely on my interest, admiration, and for future reference. I pinned this several years ago from an Etsy shop and was recently looking back through my Hearts and Valentines board. I found the Etsy Shop and was thrilled that this style and design was still available.
This photo is a bit blurry, but you can see how sweet it is with fabric and paper roses.
I'm here in the Entry with a beautiful neutral vignette. I wanted the lace heart to be shown off with contrast, but still keep the neutral color palette. I found this tall narrow antique gilded frame and placed a piece of wallpaper behind it.
Often I use bright reds and pastels here in the Entry for Valentine's Day, but this year, with this lovely lace-y heart, whites and neutrals seemed the only way to appropriately display it.
I found this beautiful lace heart HERE, and be sure to browse Helen's lovely shop where she also creates wonderful paper roses and florals.
Here are a few other Lace Hearts that I've pinned to my board...

ReplyDeleteLoving those neutrals! Gorgeous hearts. Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm. xo Kathleen
ReplyDeleteDebra, all of these lace hearts are just beautiful!! Yours is lovely pinned to its frame. <3 Do you remember the editor of Romantic Homes magazine, Fifi O'Neill? She made some wire and lace hearts for her book Prairie Style Weddings. I have a bunch of vintage and antique lace pieces on a lampshade now, but they would be fun to move to a heart or two! I'm sorry I didn't recognize your sweet post from the thumbnail I am sure you linked to SYS for February... I would have shared it then. Maybe for next year? I have pinned to my Hearts to You and Holidays: Valentine's boards. <3
