All About Home #167: Fall and Halloween "Treats"

Hello Friends and Welcome to the
All About Home Link Party!

Okay... how did it get to be the end of October? This has been a really crummy Fall here in the lower Midwest as far as weather goes. We've been in a terrible drought and only had a few short rains all of August, September, and now October. The leaves aren't showing a lot of color and most of them are just turning brown and falling off the trees in big clumps. We're supposed to be having a good rain event today so I'm hanging in there. Any pretty tree color where you are?
Are you guys going straight to Christmas decorating?... I'm not sure that I can. I find it hard to do Christmas so soon. So I'll be mixing some previous Christmas inspiration posts with real time late Fall/ Thanksgiving decor. Thanks so much for coming by and sharing the fun things you're up to. I look forward each week to see all your amazing Fall creativity! So glad you're here!

Amber and I are excited to be hosting this weekly party
 that celebrates All Things Home.
We love to see what you're up to on Your blogs,
so please join in and share your inspiration.

My Snow Owls usually make an appearance in late October, and they are so cute and fun I really enjoy their adorable little faces. They're on the mantel this week with the mini DIY on the vintage concrete owl. Later in the week I shared 3 versions of the Holiday Cupboard for late Fall; my favorite time of the year in my favorite decorating spot!!!

You'll want to go by Amber's
and check out her wonderful news...

Here are some of the fun seasonal links from last week...

from Tania at Little Vintage Cottage

Thanks so much, gals!!

  2. Thanks so much Debra! So sorry about your leaves, we had a rainy summer in Alabama so our leaves are more colorful than usual...I don't like to do any Christmas decorating until after Thanksgiving, but I did link up a Christmas craft idea today :) I hope you get some rain!

  4. Bebra,
Our Fall Foliage is simply magnificent this year...Maybe because of the very dry Summer...I keep adding pictures of it around our home in my posts....

  6. Hi Debra, I can't get geared up for Christmas. We've had a beautiful Fall with lovely 70 degree days and cool nights and, like you, no rain. We're also in a bit of a dry spell. It's hard to think of Christmas when it's so warm and pretty outside. I just put out some Fall decor and have a few projects still to finish for thanksgiving. Always love visiting your site.

  7. I hear you, Debra--we haven't had ANY fall color here in Texas, either. However, since I am used to decorating for Christmas when it's between 70-80 degrees, I'll probably start soon. I like to enjoy the holiday decorations for as long as possible. Thanks for hosting!
