Welcoming September at All About Home #108

Hello friends and Welcome to the All About Home Link Party. Finally... September is the unofficial start of all things "Fall"! YAY!!! Thank you for taking the time to come by and share what you're up to this week. We always look forward to seeing all the great DIYs, decor, crafts, gardening, and recipes that you are all creating.

Amber and I are excited to be hosting this weekly party
 that celebrates All Things Home.
We love to see what you're up to on Your blogs,
so please join in and share your inspiration.

I look forward to September starting in July. Fall has always been my favorite season, and even though I love Summer, I don't enjoy the oppressive heat. I just do better physically and mentally when there's cooler temperatures and I can be outside and relax and enjoy my activities.

Fall comes in stages for me. I start making the change in decor and my attitude in late August. Early September means shifting to the "warmer" colors of harvest, without having heavy textures and overwhelming dark colors. So when I wanted an early Fall restyle of my Holiday Cupboard I chose to play off the late summer colors of Hydrangeas in our front yard landscaping. I'll bring in the pumpkins and classic Fall colors soon!

Earlier in the week I put together a full and lush early Fall wreath
created from a pre-made wreath from HL.

Amber is sharing her gorgeous home tour this week.
...So many beautiful ideas for Fall.

With Fall arriving soon we're starting to see early projects and decor inspiration to get us in the mood and get us started on our Fall decorating. Here are some great Fall projects from last week.

Have you noticed all the "natural" gourds that are
showing up in blog posts this season?
I love seeing them used as a lantern.
from Ann at Apple Street Cottage

Chloe from Celebrate and Decorate gave us a fun DIY
with great fall color and texture.

The idea to use tin cans in decor is a fun look for Fall.
You'll love her fall wreath she crafts too.
from Rachel at The Ponds Farmhouse

created Homemade Soy Candles for Autumn.
Love these!!

Thanks so much, ladies!

  5. Like you Fall is my favorite season. We moved to Florida for 10 years and the thing I missed the most was fall. So glad to be back in the Midwest. Thanks for hosting the party each week.
