Hello friends and Welcome to the All About Home Link Party!
I think most of us are now ready for Fall, but the weather hasn't been cooperating, at least here in the lower Midwest. We're still dealing with 90's and no rain. A little heat doesn't deter those of us that Love Fall, though. We have our mums and pumpkins and we're going for it! Thank you for taking the time to come by and share what you're up to this week. We always look forward to seeing all the great DIYs, decor, crafts, gardening, and recipes that you are all creating.
Amber and I are excited to be hosting this weekly party
that celebrates All Things Home.
We love to see what you're up to on Your blogs,
so please join in and share your inspiration.
This last week, our Lifestyle Of Love Blog Hop group shared ideas on using chalkboards in decor. Only problem is my handwriting skills are not particularly great. A few years ago I had a brilliant idea and asked my sister to help me out with a small "Silhouette" project. I wanted a little Fall chalkboard sign and I knew that it would look much better going that route, than me trying to come up with a handwritten message.
I've been doing some Fall decorating, but this year it's just too darn hot to get overly "fallish" in my decor. I've been using a lighter touch with pillows and quilts and leaves. I'll be ready for some darker fall looks in a bit... when the weather doesn't feel like a blast furnace.
With Fall knocking on our door, we're seeing fun projects and decor inspiration to get us in the mood and started on our Fall decorating. There are a lot of pumpkin related fall DIYs and recipes out there. Here are some great Fall posts and projects from last week.
Corine from Junk to Gems created this adorable and chunky yarn Pumpkin.
