I usually have a more neutral look for Early Fall,
but I thought I'd bring out some bold color with a mix for a change.
I usually have multiple looks for Fall.
Early fall, Fall, Late Fall...
(i know)
They all have different feels and elements.
Right now I want a lighter look
and no heavy texture.
White faux sunflowers, hydrangeas
and colorful preserved Fall leaves
get together in the French-y ceramic vase.
I found several of these wonderful vintage reproduction prints years ago,
and this one with a pear and apple display just looks like "September".
I found this dramatic vintage black frame in my stash
and I love how it really sets off the print.
A faux bittersweet vine encircles the mirror.
Bittersweet is getting harder and harder to find in our area.
Last year it was basically nowhere,
but my brother-in-law happened to find some
while out tromping in the woods.
I wrangled some out of my sweet sister.
The concrete pears were a purchase a few years ago.
...Love the small one with the gold paint accent.
My bittersweet shade of paint (Spicy Hue from SW) for the front door
shows up accurately and true-to-color inside.
It's just perfect for Fall.

You can see my front door basket thru the glass.
Last week I took out the Summer flowers
and added in a few deeper color blooms.
I kept the black/white check burlap ribbon,
which will get changed out for a more Fall feel later.
My garage is a sea of open tubs of Fall decor and florals.
I love decorating for this time of year,
but wow, I have a lot of stuff to sort through.
I've remade this flower arrangement multiple times
and I'm still tweaking it... sigh.

Beautiful Debra. Have a great evening. xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt looks fabulous! I know what you mean...I have just put my early Fall wreath up, so it will be up long enough before Halloween, then late fall wreath...But it is such fun. Had to chuckle at the garage filled with tubs...we moved to an apartment and have a storage unit in the garage. I have my tubs stacked and labeled - sometimes I still can't find things! Happy to find your blog - enjoy the Fall. www.ournewvista.com
ReplyDeleteI just love the bold colors you chose, and the flower arrangement is just beautiful. I also LOVE the color of your front door!
ReplyDeleteI love that print with the sunflower mix and that open door! That is the epitome of fall!
ReplyDeleteReally pretty display, Debra!!! I love the big sunflowers and the riot of color in with them! I guess I had never seen the inside of your entryway ~ it's nice with the striped wallpaper and tile. Love the diamond pane windows!! <3 Reminds me of the house we lost before our current home as it had just two narrow diamond pane windows flanking the front door. The others had been changed over the years.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your early fall decor,
Barb :)
So pretty! I like to ease into Fall too, lots of light neutrals and sunflowers. Love your flower arrangement!

I love the print. The pears are darling. My tubs are out too. I did some purging during lockdown so I'm going through what I have left. Your door is perfect for fall.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Debra! I love all the Fall touches! Thanks for sharing at Charming Homes & Gardens! ~ Kristin | White Arrows Home
ReplyDeleteIt is so gorgeous, your door is perfection this time of year too! That "September" fruits print has me swooning!
