At the last house I kept my wooden monogram on the mantel,
but here it's usually a backdrop for the top of the little cupboard.
The chalkboard really sets it off.
A vintage marmalade crock has a small faux bouquet
of late summer flowers on top of my old kitchen scale.
more antique crockery...
I have a bunch of old wooden and paper mache trays that are in seasonal colors.
I'm still using the summery floral one here on the first shelf.
Some of my English Cottage kitchen pieces are in here, too.
One of my little chalk chickens is nesting
in a collapsible vintage metal egg basket.
I've mentioned before that I can be a bit messy in some things,
and by the looks of the bottom shelf my cookbooks need a little "straighten-up".
Hope you'll come by Monday evening.

Debra,
ReplyDeleteYour cook book cupboard looks lovely for August!
Interesting array of items within your shelves!
Love the cookbooks on the bottom shelf!

Gasp! A messy shelf! I LOVE it that you shared your cute little cupboard with us anyway! So often, bloggers come across as "perfect." I read a blog recently where the blogger said she'd been editing out an ugly light fixture for months, but she finally got it changed, so now she could show us. I really like it when you all keep it "real." It's encouraging to me that even with all your beautiful homes, you all are really human, too, like us common folk. :-D I love those old jugs and your flock of chickens is really cute. Have a great day, and THANK YOU for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHi Marilyn, thankyou! haha, you should see my office, it's usually a mess! I tend to make piles of stuff that needs to be put away, and my desk is a mess. I think I have too much stuff and not enough places to sort/keep it!
DeleteThat's cute, Debra. My group of crocks and whisk broom collections are STILL in storage. So are my hens. {sigh} With not having as much in home storage, I have to really think about what I feel like toting back and forth, unwrapping & displaying. Dishes seem to win every time, lol.
ReplyDeleteTotally sweet, love all your cupboards!!! Sandi
ReplyDeleteHi Debra. Love all your little Chick-a-doodles and your cook book cupboard. For shame about that messy shelf! haha Where would we be without them?..Stay well..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteYour cookbook cupboard looks fantastic Debra! I love all your crocks.
ReplyDeleteI love it all, Debra! Did you make the monogrammed chalkboard? It’s gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh this all darling! I love the little chalky-chick in the basket!
ReplyDeleteI love your collections. The vintage crockery and chickens are wonderful! I've been looking for some chickens but no luck so far. Thanks again too for linking up at Farmhouse Friday! Much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteYour cookbook cabinet is lovely! I adore chickens and your collection is amazing. Are they vintage?
