Hello friends, I'm ready for a little patriotic flare around here.
I've really missed getting to go to the fleas and antique malls,
where you're sure to get a big helping of the RED/ WHITE /BLUE!
So I'm going to dish up a little of my own.
I'm out here in the Garden Room
with a few fun patriotic additions to the Holiday Cupboard.
I've had this little vintage ticking stuffed heart for years,
and I recently found it in my some of my boxes from the move.
I enjoy having something seasonal hanging from the knob on the door.
So I added a little flag for some extra attention.
The French faience is still here in the cupboard for Summer, and it lends itself perfectly for patriotic celebration color. There are beautiful hand painted florals in this pottery in lovely shades of blue, red, pink, and yellow. I added a few small flags in here and some vintage postcards. too.
I have to have a few English cottages in here
along with some white ironstone just for good measure.
There's a lot more patriotic decor here in the sitting area. I'll be sharing an antique coverlet, that I honestly do not think I've ever actually used before. I bought it many years ago for just a few dollars, but since it's more "primitive" I haven't really considered it much since I tend to run more " French Farmhouse". But I incorporated it here with more red/white/and blue. It deserves to be shared because it's in really great shape and a very beautiful and detailed piece.
(Here's a sneak peek)
I'll be posting Part 2 of the Garden Room on Saturday.
Hope you'll be back for the rest of the fun!
Hope you'll join us Monday Evening!

Its really pretty Debra.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy taking a tour of your holiday cupboard and garden room. The coverlet looks like it fits in perfectly, and is lovely. I recently found some vintage patriotic post cards that belonged to my uncle. Very fun! "See you" Saturday, Lord willing!
ReplyDeleteLove your holiday cupboard and this one is really pretty. Very patriotic and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday.
Hugs,
Kris
This is all so beautiful, Debra! Love the quilted heart...ans that coverlet is fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteOh my soul this is beautiful and so perfectly festive! I love it all! Pinned
ReplyDeleteWhat a great transition from your summer cupboard to your patriotic! Right off the bat with that cute vintage heart I realized I have a stash of a few (similar), unused of course (insert eyeroll). And that antique coverlet is awesome! I have one of those too (good grief, Rita, really, and when was the last, or first time you ever used it??). That teaser photo looks awesome Debra. Mine is black & white (unusual, I know, but I bought it at an old-timer's liquidation auction), and thought I'd use it at the foot of my bed (nope, not yet). Mine came straight from a barn so I had no choice, really, but to wash it, even though it's wool. I used a couple Shout color catchers to catch potential dye bleed and it worked great in cold water.
ReplyDeleteDebra, your cupboard is so cute. Love the added flags and vintage post cards. The stuffed pillow is a fabulous look. I keep forgetting to join your Tuesday link party. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love your display of dishes!
ReplyDeleteOver the years I have pinned more pics from your site than I can count! You are such a pro at all this! Beautiful garden room and your holiday cupboard is wonderful with all your collections of red, white and blue items!
ReplyDeleteI'm so in love with this cupboard! Pinned!
ReplyDeleteThe china is perfect with patriotic decor. The heart is adorable.
ReplyDeleteYour patriotic vintage postcards are so pretty and they look nice displayed in your cupboard!
ReplyDeleteIt is all so beautiful, I love all the treasures. I think that coverlet is amazing! I definitely want to see more of it! I still love my prims and American from years ago when I first starting decorating. I see no reason not to mix it right in since it is "vintage."
ReplyDeleteBeautiful inspiration!
Really pretty, Debra! I love your faience and your cupboard always shows your china and decorations so beautifully... Happy to feature your post at this week's Share Your Style #262. <3 Love the postcards, too!!! I've been looking for some to keep in my stash... Oh! Our good thriftshop is open as long as customers wear a mask. I went yesterday and found two things: a long, handled basket (perfect for table decor) and a nice vintage musical sheet which the figures at top look French... Will share soon!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July to you,
Barb :)
Perfect patriotic touches.
ReplyDeleteAlways fu! Get well soon!
