Hello everyone, hope you're well and keeping your sanity. (I'll get back to you all on that one...)
I took a lot of pics several weeks ago when I was decorating for Spring and Easter. The Hearth Room didn't get Easter decor; no bunnies or things, but more of a Spring theme. Actually it hasn't changed too much since early March. Lambs and sheep are a favorite of mine, so the little bench in front of the sofa has one of my sheep and a twiggy basket of Paperwhites.
I've had this fella for quite a few years. He's "out" most of the time, but Spring and Christmas are his favorite times to be out and about. I looked again to see if there were markings on the bottom, but there aren't any. The glass topped tray is one I've been using a lot here at this house. It fits perfectly on this bench.
My art canvas from 2015 is one of my favorites
and I use it each Spring since it's colors include a lot of brilliant greens.
It's here on the mantel with a few of the regulars.
It looks like he's ready to grab a 3D nibble.
I've kept my usual pieces here and added one of my chalk lamb figures
(Momma and Baby) on the mantel.
A vintage book stack makes it easy to add height to any vignette or grouping.
A bunch of neutral covered books and bindings that I mix up, keep things interesting.
This faux Hyacinth bulb planting in a rustic box looks and feels like the real thing,
and speaks to me of early Spring.
We hung this old French styled mirror soon after we moved in. I wasn't planning on using it here, but I've found it's a good basic backdrop for other pieces and since the lighting is naturally dim here, it reflects what light there is.
I'm still on hold with the surgery, and I'm hanging in there. My Internist and Neuro are in communication, and I know there are other people in worse shape than I am. I'm trying to keep my normal schedule if I can. So I'm still around, just not quite where I'd like to be. Thanks for coming by, I'm grateful, and I appreciate you all! Stay well!

Loving your spring decor...especially the Mama and baby chalkware figurine!
ReplyDeleteYes! I love those sheep figures too. I have three different appointments I'm wanting to reschedule. Hope they figure out a way pretty soon. Hope it happens soon for you!

ReplyDeleteI really love your mantel, and so much fun seeing you making this your Home! And, of course your lambs are adorable.
ReplyDeleteHang in there Sweet Friend. My Dad is in the same boat with some reconstructive surgery that keeps getting post poned. I know it's frustrating. We are so happy to keep hearing from you and seeing all of your pretty stuff! Cynthia, Create With Cynthia!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I can't look at a sheep without thinking of you, Debra. Yours are all adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love your sweet sheep and the hearth room looks so pretty for spring!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. I hope you can get your surgery soon. You have adorable sheep in your collection.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bright and lovely room! I'm a sheep lover as well:) Hopefully all will work out for your surgery. I had hip replacement surgery last February (for advanced arthritis) and I've thought many times about how if I needed it now I would not be able to get it. Hang in there and stay safe! Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm Party. xo Kathleen
