A Vintage Valentine Entry

I had fun bringing out my vintage Valentine pieces for this "new" Entry display. We will have been here, at the new cottage for almost a year. I've decorated and celebrated all the other holidays here, so this is the last holiday that's "new" to this house.

I have three very similar iron urns, and I keep this one filled with faux Paperwhites, since I like using them throughout the year. There's never a wrong time of year for these small delicate orchid-like blooms. And the "faux" are preferable to me since they don't have the stinky odor/aroma of the real ones.

I have a new vintage looking "window frame" that I found at a fun shop a few weeks ago. It's not old, and I want to add a little more white paint the next time I get my paint out. I tend to wait till I have several little projects before I grab the paint can.

I have a few pics of the shop at the end of this post.

This is my very old tray that I have been using in the entry for years
(at one house or another).

My little Lefton heart shaped cupid candy dish is also a Valentine staple.

We're only about 30 minutes from Branson where my Rheumatologist is located, so when I have an appointment we like to visit a few stores/shops and have dinner. This time, we spotted this new shop after grabbing a coffee at Starbucks. 417 Vintage Market and Supply is located in the "old downtown" area of Branson next to "The Landing".

Tons of antique, vintage and architectural pieces and some market items.

Do you have big plans for Valentine's Day?

It's still cold, snowy, and icy here.
We haven't had deep snows, but we've had lots of them.
Winter is hanging on!

Thankyou again for linking up with the Valentine's Day Link Party.

Hope to see you next Monday evening.

  5. Nice entry! I'm with you on faux paperwhites, can't stand the smell, gives me a headache! Love the shop you visited - the boxwood wall is awesome! Ours will be quiet - lunch out - simple. Last of the big party-goers. Happy Valentine's!

  9. So beautiful! You always do the best vignettes. I'd add some paint to that window frame too. It's really nice. What a great looking shop! The best shops here are not as good as they used to be and some have closed! I always love seeing the displays you put together.

  11. What a lovely entry way! I had to laugh -- I can't stand the smell of paperwhites either! I do have a similar urn, now if I can just find some faux flowers to go in it! That shop would be calling my name as well if I lived nearby LOL Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm! Pinned! xo Kathleen
