I've been putting the Mantel together in the Hearth Room for Fall, so I've been on Pinterest searching for inspiration. I found several pics that I Pinned and have kept coming back to. Can I just say that when you type in "Fall Mantel" you will be looking for hours. I realized that they all had several elements in common...
Here are some of my favorites.
Fall Mantel with Traditional Colors At the Picket Fence
The main thing that stood out for me was that they all contained natural elements and that they weren't over done or too fussy. I'm the first to admit I sometimes go a little crazy on the mantel (especially in Fall) and I'm trying to reign myself in. It's easy to keep adding, but then I have to step back and edit. Oftentimes I don't realize how it's become "too much" until I look at a photo while I'm editing it. That's when it jumps out at you that there's way too much going on.
Here are a few more photos from past posts of my Fall Mantels. Yes, some are a little busy.

Debra,
ReplyDeleteAll the Pinterest Autumn Mantles are gorgeous!
My favorite is your mantle from your precious house in 2013!
This post was filled to the brim with inspiration!

I always loved the beams from your first house reflected in the mirror. That was always a pretty shot. The mantel from Hymns and Verses is simple and beautiful. It's my favorite of the inspiration pictures. Of course, French Country Cottage knows how to do mantels. I can't wait to see this year's mantel.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing all these lovely fall mantels! I feel inspired!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy fall,
