Early Fall Crate Tray

I've been waiting all year to start decorating the Garden Room for Fall. Since Fall is my favorite time of year (y'all probably know that) and most fun decor-wise for me, I like to start early and give it several different looks throughout the season. Since this is technically "Pre-Fall" I'm sprinkling around just a white pumpkin or two with some darker floral pillows and a teensy bit of orange.

This old fruit crate that I found earlier in the year, is just the right size for the coffee table out here. I've mentioned before that my Daddy made the bench/table for me back in the late 90's before he passed. It was on my Sunporch 2 houses ago and then during the warmer weather it was on our covered patio at the last house.

(July of this year)

For Fall, I'm loving the natural raw wood,
so I just turned it around so that the old label doesn't show.

Beaufort is here and ready for Fall.
He has a Buffalo Check "scarf" this year.

I love having my old cupboard out here. Right now it's more of a storage spot, but I'm organizing the White Ironstone so I can use it for display soon. The cabinet got a little paint update last Fall when I knew we would be moving, as I was hopeful that I could use it again.

Late August I brought out some late Summer/ early Fall
vintage goodies to decorate the Baker's Rack.

The wicker settee is wearing the backside of a vintage quilt. I love using this side as much as the front. The off-white, lavender, and brown small plaid makes it a perfect base for an Early Fall look. I admit I DO have a pillow obsession, and these Brown Florals are some of my favorites.

So, how are you getting started on Fall decorating?

    1. thankyou Pat, a few years ago I started doing the basic transition to Christmas in early November. I still do Thanksgiving, but only one month for Christmas is just too short!

  4. I love the way you decorate, Miss D! When my Momma passed away she had an old fruit crate and I use it now in my home. I love it. I also love the things your father made... Perfect for your porch!

I love the blinds! Can you tell me where you got them? I'm wanting some for two of our upper rooms! Love them sooooo much!

    1. thankyou Rebecca dear! I can't believe that little bench has held up the last 20 years considering what it's been through in a 4 year stretch in the elements. I wish the blinds were lighter, but the previous owners had them installed. I think they were trying to match the brick color, but I'm hoping to paint the brick in the near future (I hope!) If I can find a manufacturers mark I'll let you know. xo

  5. Hi Debra!
Your fall crate is so pretty! I like how you decorated it - that bird nest tucked into the pitcher - so cute! How special to have a table your daddy made. Oh, and Beaufort is quite handsome sporting his buffalo check scarf ;). Thanks for sharing at Homestyle Gathering!
