An Early Fall Entry

This space in the Entry has gone thru multiple renditions this last month. From late August to now in "almost" Mid September, my Frenchy console has had a few different looks. I thought I'd better share this current look from this week before it accidentally gets changed up once again.

This very old print is one of 3 botanicals that I have that work for Fall. If you look on the right side of the print you can see some foxing that has been there since before I found it years ago. Pears are such a seasonally beautiful way to enhance our Fall decor; they seem to be liberally scattered around here. I like using pears in late August and not push the pumpkin decor too soon.

The pic below is from right before I changed up the above print. Actually the old cotton canvas is the base for this Sunflower Botanical AND the Pear Botanical print. I just use brown packing tape loosely to secure them to the canvas. That way they are easy to change out if you get a whim to try something else. (that would be me)

This next print is the earlier botanical print I tried. It has a little more "color" with apples, peaches, and other Summer fruit, but it looked too bright and Summery to me. It only lasted a day or so, I think.

I need to use this print in July or early August,
I just hadn't located it at that point.

I even tried this vintage framed Sunflower print,
but at this point I wanted more "Fall" and less "Summer".

The two Sunflower botanicals came from Cavallini Calenders,
and the other two I found at a vintage market.

So here we are back to this week.
Are you with me or is your head still spinning?

Here are a couple of previous Early Fall Entries.
I really miss having my gray shutters behind the old round mirror.
I tried... but they just didn't work with the taupe stripe wallpaper.

OK, we'll see what's up next. It will be a little more Fallish.
I'm going out to hunt for mums and pumpkins this week.
Hope I can find some, I think I'm ready to start work on the Front Porch!
