If I'm not careful, September will be over, and I'll be behind in sharing a few of my "First Fall" vignettes and decorating. I like to spread Fall out as long as I can, so I have lots of different layers and stages. Can you believe how fast this month is going by? I'd been putting off decorating the coffee table, because I wanted to do something "different", and I just hadn't figured out what that was going to be...
I really like to leave this weathered gray tray here on the tabletop. I don't want to scratch up the finish on my chalk painted coffee table and end tables, so I keep a runner or burlap fabric piece underneath. It's easy for me to be lazy and leave all the elements here without being very creative. I've been waiting for my pumpkin and mum stand to open, but they're behind schedule this year, so a grapevine pumpkin is standing in until I can find a white one for the urn.
I have a few demi-johns and old wrapped wine bottles downstairs,
so they're here in the living room for now,
giving the urn some "balance" on the tray.
I found this herringbone tweed pumpkin last week in Ozark at Harrison House.
He's kind of hunky and masculine looking...
I just love all the wonderful textures that can be used in Fall.
I'm so excited to be included in Brenda's 2015 Blogger Fall Tour, that starts next Tuesday and runs till Friday. I'll be sharing my Home Tour on Thursday, so be sure and catch some great Fall Inspiration next week with 28 Bloggers.

ReplyDeleteLooks very pretty and perfectly fall! Love the herringbone pumpkin, and the chippy urn! ~Rhonda
ReplyDeleteLoving the natural textures you're using on your coffee table, Debra! The iron urn is fabulous and I like the contrast of the twiggy pumpkin with it.

Oh how I adore your rustic fall that speaks to my heart. I just purchased a cool old French wine Demi john wrapped in straw and I love it. Love, love, love your tray full of Autumn textural beauty. Oh and your grey men's suit fabric pumpkin ... I adore it!!
ReplyDeleteI think you nailed it, Deb- your look here is perfect. I LOVE the wicker pumpkin on that urn too - well done.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous weekend. ♥
I love the vignette you put together on your coffee table. It's full of warm color and texture. I see you have a nursery flat (like mine) being used as a tray. I love that! I use mine every now and then too. It's a fun piece.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Debra...love that tweed pumpkin! You always have such lovely fall decor!
ReplyDeleteI like the wicker pumpkin in the urn! Your tray has given me an idea to try with one of my chippy trays! Remember...imitation is the biggest form of flattery! Ha! I don't have an urn like yours...but something similar. Tory coffee table vignette looks wonderful. Sheila
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful Fall coffee table vignette. Love the texure and the pretty herringbone pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Debra. Love all the textures. Happy Week End.

ReplyDeleteInspiring ... makes me want to pumpkin hunt!
ReplyDeleteLovely vignette, Debra! I just love that urn. Every time I see yours, I want to go find one for myself. : ) They have some good prices on mums here at our supermarket [Kroger], I just need to stop off there and pick up a couple. I'd just like them to last longer than a couple of weeks so I've been kind of putting it off. I can't believe Fall officially starts next week. I guess I'll be heading up to the attic to get my few Fall bins down and get started decorating.
ReplyDeleteI never feel like I get my coffee table the way I want it decorated for Fall. It is a big square and I think I tend to put too few items on it. I'll have to play around with it a bit more this year and see if I can't some up with something different.
Lovely Debra!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY!
Blessings,
Cindy
Debra, it is all just beautiful! I love the shape of that urn and the herringbone pumpkin is so unique! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
