I love this thing... it's old, chippy, and full of vintage charm. I had used it for several years at the old house, changing it out for each season. Here it is empty. I usually line it with grapevine wreaths or brown grocery bags wadded up, to give the flowers something to hold on to.
Here it is filled with a variety of faux Hydrangeas, back where it belongs.
Above pic with no accent twigs, but I added them in here.
I'm not sure if they are too much.
I kind of like the extra "dimension" they give.
I especially love the soft greens and pinks of the Hydrangeas with the runner I have on the table now; it's such a sweet Springy Toile.
Here's how I've used this windowbox in the past.
I think this one from the Fall, a few years ago is my absolute favorite.
Late Summer with Sunflowers
Summer with White Geraniums
And even earlier with hydrangeas and a few nests.
Then Christmas
It had a lot going on with this version.
And back to the present again.
It's one of my favorite pieces to play with.
More on the Dining Room this week.
and I'll take a few pics of my Hydrangeas we planted at Easter.
They're coming along...no deer yet.
Thanks everyone that commented on my Happy Camper post.
My presence was required this weekend to get it ready for camping.

ReplyDeleteI love that look in your DR, and I like the twigs added, too. Debra, can you remember the color of your DR walls in the old house? and of those photos, which one would you say represents the truest look of that hue? I really like that color, and whenever I see a buttery color I like, I try to bookmark it, pin it, or dog ear it somehow. Thanks.
ReplyDeletePS...I'm with you on camping, but the decorating of the camper ought to be fun. ;)
