Styling a DIY Seedbox for St. Patty's Day

All it takes is a few sunny days where the temps are 50 and above and you'll find me puttering around with seed boxes, seed packets, and some old gardening tools. This week will be the "official" start of Spring so I'm having fun bringing a little green for St. Patrick's Day onto the Baker's Rack in the kitchen sitting area.

I like to bring out a few pieces of my Enoch Wedgewood "Kent" Green Transferware in honor of the day. I lined the bottom of this little "DIY Seed Box" with some moss, and then snuggled the dishes between peat pots, garden tools, and an ironstone pitcher with yellow silk roses.

 gotta have a birdie too...

Several of you have asked about "The Holiday Cupboard", but sadly it's one of the pieces I had to let go. I just didn't have a place for it. The pie safe that I used last year at the lease house is downstairs in a little kitchen nook, but I've not had enough to decorate there yet. I know that I will, so for now the Kitchen China Cupboard and the Baker's Rack are my only real places to decorate for the seasons. Please don't get bored with my few options for decorating. Smaller house equals less space for junk display!

I'm thinking cleaned up, this would be a great back scratcher...

We've had our guys rebuilding the deck this last week, so I'm one step closer to getting my outside spaces spiffed up for Spring and Summer. They still have to stain and seal it, but hopefully they will be done in a week. I kept the potting bench and my old metal garden table and gate. We have one storage unit filled with outside "junk" (or you can insert the "cr_p" word) and I can't wait to put together a sitting and entertaining area out in the covered patio space under the decking. I'm itching to get some containers filled with flowers and ferns. Last year I didn't have any outside space to play in, and I was lost without that.

Please come by Wednesday evening at 6 PM Central for the Share Your Style Link Party, and be thinking about Spring Posts Past and Present to share with us for the Share Your Style Spring Blog Hop, starting next week.

Isn't our little bunny man the absolute cutest?
