The pink vintage bunny planter, majolica rabbit plate, and Fitz and Floyd Berry Platter were my spoils from last weekend.
This platter has some cracks and chips,
but I fell in love with the raised basket weave design.
so Springy.
This little guy has no markings, but I did a Google search and it appears that he's Shawnee Pottery from the 50's...old bunny, real old bunny. He's all cotton candyish sweet pink with lots of little crazing.
I've always loved the unique shape of this hexagonal soup tureen. I can't decide if it's ironstone or ceramic, but it's different. And it's small enough to decorate with. I've changed out this carrier several times since I've been at this house. I only have a few places to "decorate", so this is doing double duty to help with my decorating addiction.
And if course, I've never met a white carrier that I didn't love.
This is a strawberry carrier, with slats in the bottom,
sitting on the small bench in front of the wicker settee.
I didn't have enough room for my coffee table here,
but this old tool caddy bench fit perfectly.
The weather is confused here; it thinks we're still in March. It's been so windy today and chilly. Hopefully it will be in the 70's again by the weekend; the Iris are starting to come up. Hope you're having a wonderful week!

That carrier is the perfect size for changing up your vignettes, Debra! Especially in a smaller home you find these smaller pieces are indispensable. Love that bunny plate. I think you need to go with the need to "play". It may seem silly to our husbands, but I think it will be helpful for you with the move and down-sizing.
ReplyDeleteI love the old bunny planter. I can see some succulents in it. You are doing a fine decoding job in the smaller place. xo, olive
ReplyDeleteLove all your adorable bunnies! I have a similar carrier, but not white, and it's always a great size for our tables. I also love your soup tureen, it is very pretty. It was a very good weather day here in IL, sun out and hubs and I played in the garden. Enjoy your "playing" vignette, so very pretty! Taking a break from packing to play is a good thing!
ReplyDeleteYour cotton candy bunny makes me smile, Debra. Keep playing! These little things keep us sane. ;)
ReplyDeleteamen, I need all the sanity I can muster!

Debra, just love your Carrier! So pretty and love how you have it all fixed. The bunnies are adorable! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteI don't even know if I'm going to have room at the new place for a coffee table. Hard to picture things in your mind and then you get them there and it's totally different! Love your Easter pretties! Still seems wintery here. At night it is cold, and during the day, doesn't warm up much.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
What a pretty little arrangement! It says spring and Easter with such lovely pieces! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteYour vignette is so cheery! Glad you're getting to play a little. I've been wanting to do something in a crate or box like this. Gotta get busy! xx
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty mix of Spring items. I'm sure it feels good to celebrate the seasons in your new temporary home. I really like that strawberry crate and tureen!

Adorable Debra! Always keep playing! It keeps us young!~~Angela
ReplyDeleteLove this darling vignette. The Shawnee bunny is just too sweet! I had a collection of Fitz and Floyd bunnies (and kitties!) at one time. I don't have a lot of surfaces for cute stuff in our current home :) Love your platter! Keep playing over there!
ReplyDeleteAll so wonderful!!! I love all sweet details especially the gorgeous pink rabbit!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous weekend!

Such a sweet collection of all things spring!!! Your vignette just sings of warmer weather. I live up north and our flowers are just coming up, needing another week or so to bloom, so for now I live vicariously through all of you bloggers who already have plants flowering!!
ReplyDeleteI love to look at what you are up to just to see your interesting groupings.
ReplyDeleteNow you have given me some ideas. Maybe after I spend the day working in the garden I will fill one of my totes for spring.
