Welcome to my Home Tour 2013!
I have a lot of things to share this Christmas Season, but today I wanted to share Highlights for a Home Tour. I've been adding to the basics since right after Thanksgiving, and as time has progressed, I'm having a few more vignettes and details to show. But for now, I'll hit the high points of my main level rooms, that have been decorated in a little more "easy" and natural theme this year.(you can click on the photo, and then click again for a bigger image)
The Entry
I've wanted the Christmas decor to be more simple this year; the older I get the more I want something that's easier to live with. I have tons of boxes and tubs of Christmas decor, but this year I've had to choose bits and pieces to make small groupings instead of dragging it all out, to then turn around and put all away in three weeks.
I love seasonal changes, and for me "Winter" is full of evergreens,
paperwhites, and splashes of plaid.
Heading in to the Living Room

Hope you've enjoyed the Mini Home Tour.
I'll be sharing more this week,
as we get down to some vignettes and vintage pieces,
that are just for fun!

Wow, incredible, Debra! You may say that you're going with the "less is more" approach this year, but, your lovely home is still oozing with fabulous Christmas!! I love your vignettes … natural element … and, your splashes of red! Envious of your snow, too! Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteHi Debra... I so enjoyed your home tour!... love all your little trees in pots, especially that little fat one in the bowl on your kitchen island... and that squirrel pillow!... oooh, how adorable!... your home is so cozy and inviting... and just says "welcome" to me... of course you know your sunporch is my favorite!... xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteI love it all, Debra! So many beautiful things that I love, I think my favorite is the basket of hydrangeas with the Christmas greenery. I love your less is more approach. I always say that I will do that each year, but it seems that I end up decking everything out anyway!!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow....how much do you charge....come do my house! It's hands down the most gorgeous.....Love love love it!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Debra! I love all the white with pops of red and plaid...hugs, Penny
ReplyDeleteYour house looks gorgeous! I love everything, the kitchen, the breakfast table, the dining room, living room, etc. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteFABBY
Your home is beautiful - so pretty yet cozy too. I love it.
ReplyDeleteblessings,
Danielle
It's such a treat to be invited into your home, Debra! Your gorgeous home looks so warm and inviting for Christmas. And what fun you have going on in your sunroom. Love it!!
ReplyDeleteMary Alice
I wish I could reach into the last photo and take that sweet green chair filled with boxes of Shiny Brites off your hands. You know, less for you to put away after the holidays. I'm all about lending a helping hand to those in need!
ReplyDeleteYour home looks lovely as usual. Lots of light filled rooms with touches of red and natural elements makes for a festive, but cozy home. I had to give up on the rest of my outdoor decorations, too. At -25 degrees, I have no desire to freeze these old fingers! Good thing the cave dweller hung the lights early in the season!
Debra - your home is just beautiful and decorated in such an elegant but homey way. Love it all.
ReplyDeleteJudy
Wow! You have a lot of snow! We got about 4 or 5 inches today. Love your house! So many pretty things and I love the dining room and chandelier!

Such a pretty home. I just love everything but especially your sunroom.
ReplyDeleteIn a sea of Christmas home tours, yours is my favorite, hands down. I love it and that chandelier is beautifully done, as is that fabulous sideboard! My blood pressure is dropping just seeing your magazine worthy pictures. In case I don't get another chance, Merry Christmas to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. I always love visiting your home, Debra. Beautifully done, as always.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, Debra. So tasteful and well done.
ReplyDeleteDebra, Your home is beautiful. I will let you keep all of your snow. We got some, but nothing like yours. It is warmer right now then it has been all day, but we do have black ice in some areas on the streets and roads. My neighbor made several attempts before he made up his driveway because of the ice. I just stayed home. Safest place to be. Have a wonderful day. Hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful Debra as always. We have moved to our farm. Come visit me sometime.
ReplyDeleteWow Debra....Your home is so warm and inviting! A feast for the eyes. You are a very talented decorator! Thansk for the inspiration!

ReplyDeletejust beautiful! i'm amazed that this is your pared down version. i've become very minimal with my holiday decorating over the past few years as well. now that the children are grown, i don't feel the need to decorate in the traditional sense. now i decorate for me. and when the children are visiting for the holidays, i fill their rooms with pieces from past christmases so they still get the memories. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove all your festive touches, Debra! The greenery and the plaid are wonderful. I love your pillows, too.
ReplyDeleteYour holiday decor is so pretty! I love the splashes of red; it's so festive! Your home is so inviting! Thank you for sharing it with us!
