Last weekend I shared with you a beautiful new book
by the people that bring us Jeanne d'arc Living magazine,
entitled "Fairytale Easter".
I fell in love with all the wonderful
Easter and Spring inspired creations that grace each page.
Little did I know when I visited Leola's Vintage Home and Garden Spring Open House last week, that someone else had been inspired to create these same lovely decoupaged eggs. My friend Pam, who always has some of the most amazing creations and displays around, had crafted her own version of these Easter lovelies.
So a few came home with me
for my own Easter display in an old cardboard suitcase.
They joined other bits and pieces of vintage ephemera,
baskets with moss, and a nest or two for a little vintage Easter vignette.
Aren't these embellished vintage Easter postcards
just precious with bits of twine, tulle, and feathers?
One of my collection of old church fans in the background.
Jesus with the lambs are my favorites.
A hyacinth bulb and old book wrapped in stamped cotton ribbon.
It's times like this that I remember that my true love is
"all things vintage".
Joining in on these great parties this week:
Tweak it Tuesday at Cozy Little House
Wow Us Wednesday at Savvy Southern Style
Hope you have a wonderful week,
Love this display! Maybe when I retire I can get my junk room cleaned out and I can have some displays.
ReplyDeleteThe eggs are gorgeous. I love your vignette, and the old fan is wonderful. I remember those. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteYes indeed! It's all wonderful and ispiring Debra, I love it!
ReplyDeleteSending you happy weekend wishes from still frosty Germany

P.S.: And thank you for your lovely comment over on my Easter inspiration post :)
Debra, what a beautiful vignette! That old church fan brings back so many memories. This is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteDebra,
ReplyDeleteYour vignette is so beautiful. You have such a talent for putting things together so nicely. I love the eggs so pretty.
Kris
Your display is wonderful!!! I have made these same eggs and hope to list them this week....
ReplyDeleteThose eggs are the cutest I've seen yet and I love the way you've pulled everything together in a vignette. Blessings to you, Patti
ReplyDeleteYour display is just beautiful, Debra. It takes a minute to take everything in! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Lovely!
ReplyDeleteLove your suitcase full of goodies.
ReplyDeleteJudy
Just beautiful! Wonderful display! I love the stamped twill trim! Did you do it yourself? If not...then tell me where you found THAT! I love it!
ReplyDeleteJust lovely Debra! You create such beautiful displays!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely. You've really inspired me today! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteCharming in eight different ways. Love the funeral basket filled with eggs. This reminds me I have squirreled away a primitive framed image of Jesus for Easter and I need to dig it out. He Is Risen, Olive
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty vignette with those sweet spring chicks and eggs. So nice also are your references to the real reason to celebrate Easter. :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cindy
Such a beautiful display of things spring and Easter. Love the composition.
ReplyDeleteDear Debra, I love your display, how very very beautiful, ---the hyacinth on the book is an amazing wonderful idea, -and that book from Jeanne d'arc Living magazine is a beauty, I bought it myself-
ReplyDeleteI wish you a happy sunday and easter, dear friend.

Love your rustic vignette, Debra. I want some of those eggs.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Laura
What a beautiful vignette. It's full of different things, but each of them is simple and compliment the other. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI love those eggs, Debra! Especially the big one. I've pinned those, although I probably won't have time to make any before Easter arrives. That looks like a lovely book with lots of ideas.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love your eggs!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I have an old picture of Jesus that I like but have never liked the frame. I've seen it in that frame my whole life as it used to be on the wall when I was growing up. Funny thing is that the picture placed in that frame is so embedded into my brain that it had not occurred to me to TAKE IT OUT of that frame! Your photographs and ideas have turned a light bulb on for me. Ha! Thanks! Love the eggs!!!

Debra,
ReplyDeleteI, too, have a love for "all things vintage",dear friend!!!
I adore the vintage book "Abide With Me"!!! I, too, must be vintage...I remember using those paper fans in Church before the days of air conditioning!!!
Each item in your suitcase vignette is exquisite!!! Great inspirations!!!
Thank you for sharing!!!
Fondly,
Pat
The eggs are so pretty -- I love the little 'bits and pieces' attached to them -- so interesting. I love your vignette and especially the bulb tied onto the book. Very clever!
ReplyDeleteThis is so my style! Simple but full of poetry, and very creative!
