The outside of this wreath was the one I had up during the Holidays, just a basic organic, mossy wreath, but for Spring it needed some color, and before I knew it a moss covered bunny had nestled itself inside. A small forsythia wreath and a petite bundle of blooms filled it out. If you remember, this big gold frame held the faux chalkboard, that now I just popped out to be open against the old window.
The galvanized chalkboard drawer also stayed, and now it's holding my sweet Easter Greeting and an ironstone pitcher filled with faux mini tulips.
This is a moss covered rabbit I found at Michael's a few years ago, who fits perfectly inside the old wicker basket.
Not a good photo,
but my rabbit casserole on an old ironstone platter.
This is as far as I've gotten with the Spring decorating, as yesterday I got knocked down with the flu. I thought that maybe I was going to escape it...but no... At least I've had my Downton Abbey Season 2 to keep me company. Between a fever and all those episodes, I've found myself "thinking" in Mrs. Hughs voice. sad...so very sad. And I won't even start on Matthew's tragic demise.
OK, happier thoughts!!!

ReplyDeleteSo very pretty! Thanks for your inspiration! xox
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful collection of bunnies...spring can not come fast enough!
ReplyDeleteHi Debra, I started with the spring-Easter home decoration. I like what you did, like your spring mantel, this is exactly my cup of tea. Little bit of white ironstone, little bit of greenery and spring accents. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteEverything is beautiful! I've been feeling the urge to bring out some Spring decor the past few days. Thank you for the great inspiration! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I just adore everything in this post. I needed a little kick to get Valentine's down and move on to Spring and this will do it. Thanks so much for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI love your Easter touches! And I'd take 50 degrees any day of the week at this point. We're looking at the teens again tonight. Where is spring? =)
ReplyDeleteJeanine
Oh beautiful Debra! What a sweet wreath!Hope you are feeling better soon!

Lovely touches, Debra! I love all your bunnies. My one nod to Spring {it is freezing with snow showers here today} was picking up two bundles of tulips from the supermarket this morning!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And what's cheerier than a bouquet of tulips. :-)
ReplyDeleteDebra- I LOVE that wreath and the way you have it displayed. I am saving it over to my files hoping to "copy" it someday. GREAT job and your whole Easter setting is just so sweet- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteYour spring vignette is putting me in the Easter/spring mood! The wreath is charming with the bunny.
ReplyDeleteYour spring decorations are over the top cute. I have not even thought about spring yet.
ReplyDeleteNothing says spring more than a fresh bouquet of Tulips!
ReplyDeleteCute Vignette!
Lovely! I want those moss bunnies!!!
ReplyDeletemelissa@thetinsel.com
Love your spring decor, Debra! Even though it's still freezing here, maybe a little spring decor is in order. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDelete-Lynn
Love it! I scanned back through your pictures and I found myself singing the classic from "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" Spring, Spring, Spring. I don't know if "the barnyard is busy" but sure have been busy making everything springy and pretty. Hope you have a speedy recovery. Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeletemelinda
How springy and gorgeous! Thank you for sharing...I hope all of that spring inspiration knocks the flu out quickly <3
ReplyDelete-Lucy
Debra,
ReplyDeleteDearest, having the old flu bug is just dreadful!!! So~o~o sorry!!! Do take care of yourself!
Appears you've gotten a "jump" on Spring decor!!! Very nicely done!!!
Seems the past few days, everywhere I look...there's still a bit of faux evergreen tucked in here and there. Think today I finally finished putting it all away!!!
Thanks for encouraging and inspiring me to "hop to it" and bring out the Spring things!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Hope you feel better soon. The flu is vicious this year!
ReplyDeleteYour Easter vignettes are darling and inspiring me to put the valentine things away and pull out the bunnies.
Love the moss bunny in the basket. '-)
Our warm weather was wonderful for a few days and made me think of spring when the jonquils popped up here in Willard. But...with this ice storm about to barrel down on us, it's nice to see all of your spring-ness! I particularly love the wreath. Sorry you're feeling poorly and I hope you're on the mend soon.
ReplyDeleteI was oohing and ahhing at the wreath and then I saw the basket...adorable! Such a sweet spring vignette!
ReplyDelete:)
Cindy
Debra, Thanks for all your wonderful inspiring ideas. I love your sweet rabbits! Hope you're feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteJody
Everything looks so lovely and so very spring like. I cannot wait for sunshiny days. I think we all need it to add a little boost to our days.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you, Amy
Love it all! Got me to thinking about Spring now! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteHey Debra- love all your little bunnies. I am so ready for Spring- my fav time of the year!
ReplyDeleteLaura @Top This Top That
I am drooling in a very obnoxious unlady like way over your basket. I am so concerned that you have the flu. Do take care. Did you see the doc and get tamiful? That can minimize the course of the flu a lot. But here I go in nurse mode-I shall stop. Big hugs, Olive
ReplyDeleteI sooo love the Easter Wreath in the frame...so awesome..thanks for sharing!

You certainly are ready for spring! Everything flows together, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt's all looking so cheerful for spring, Debra. Love those bunnies! Now you've got me thinking of making some changes around here. I'll just try to ignore that dirty snow outside. :)
ReplyDeleteDebra loving the bunny wreath! You are inspiring me to get my spring decorating done. Thanx for coming to THT.
ReplyDeleteDebra,
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling bunny wreath. You have now got me in mood to pull my goodies out:)
Blessings,
Linda

ReplyDeleteLove the framed bunny wreath!...and all the wonderful Spring touches...Spring has definitely arrived at your house!
ReplyDeletePretty decorations and I have been watching DT on DVDs and I know what you mean...when I am falling asleep at night I am thinking in their voices and accents! Time to watch something else for awhile, lol!
ReplyDeleteI haven't done a THING for Spring yet and your pics are SO inspiring! I love how the sideboard looks!
ReplyDeletePoor Matthew...and poor MARY...honestly, they're dying like flies over there......hmmm....Mary and Tom...the lusty Irishman?
What wonderful vignettes! I am longing for Spring and need to get busy decorating. You are an inspiration. Blessings, Patti@OldThingsNew

Love your bunny wreath and all your decor! Makes me think of spring even though we are expecting I don't know how many inches of snow tomorrow...sigh.....oh well...lol
ReplyDeleteCame hopping over from the Country French Cottage Party
Do take care of yourself.. I know how you feel as I suffered with a flu that turned into a sinus issue. Funny thing is, that is when I bought the first three seasons of Downton Abbey to watch. Stayed for hours in my mom den watching and not budging an inch! Now.... your vignette is just lovely. I adore the large window frame and it's set off perfectly with the ornate gold frame! Galvanized chalk board drawer.. genius! Everything blends together perfectly. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love your Easter decorating. I sure hope you feel better, the flu is not fun. But on a brighter note your house looks beautiful! And yes I sat there and weep about Matthew, my daughter and I were texting and I said you know he could live, she said mom, really...oh one could only wish. Di
ReplyDeleteHi Debra, hubby and I were out of town last weekend so I missed linking up to your party. Looking forward to it this week. We were down South where it was warmer weather. I too got bitten by the Spring bug. I started pulling out my Easter decor yesterday. Love your touches of Spring. The moss rabbits are so sweet and I like how you layered the wreathes. Sorry to hear that you got the flu. So far I have escaped it. (keeping my fingers crossed). Hope you are feeling better! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Oh, no Debra...I hope you are now over that flu. I had it a few weeks ago, no fun! I love your mossy bunny in that basket! Take care!
ReplyDeleteSherry
I love your spring touches on your dresser Debra.
ReplyDeleteHope you've ditched the flu bug now.
