So, do you remember this adorable chippy little medicine cabinet
that I found back in...um...August...?
The perfect little chippy white cabinet...
I heard angels singing when I spotted it...
The one that weighed a ton...
The one that sat in my Dining Room until Thanksgiving,
then eventually moved on to the Hall Bath.
That was it's original intent...
to be in the Hall Bath.
The one I redid last year this time.
Yeah, that's the one...
Well, I finally got hubbs to hang it for me.
I really can't blame him for the procrastination...
It was me.
I had that silly cabinet all over the house looking for
...the spot.
And yes, it ended up right where I thought it should be.
It replaced this little Chippendale shelf above the "commode".
so...
now I have an adorable little chippy white
Chippendale shelf...
roaming the house...
looking for just the right
...spot!
dang

How cute is that chippy little cabinet of yours! I think you have found the perfect spot. You sound like me walking around this house for a week looking for a spot to hang my new bull named "Charlie". Enjoy your evening, Gail

ReplyDeleteAmei! parabéns!
ReplyDeleteWhenever you change something it has a dominoe effect! Have fun finding that perfect spot, cuz that is a cute shelf!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little medicine cabinet! Lucky you. They were in all the older homes, including the one I grew up in - long gone now, of course. :-(
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll stop in at Cranberry Morning for my four homemade soap sachet giveaway going on now through Friday! ♥
I love it there Debra! It really is a pretty little cabinet!
ReplyDeletehugs...
Lovely piece and if it's heavy it must be old. They don't make things sturdy anymore like the good ole' days.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at the Cabin:)
Yep, replace one piece and move that piece somewhere else or to the storage room. Same game I play all the time. Cute chippy cabinet.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that always the way, Debra! I'm sure you'll find a spot for the shelf ~ somewhere. : )
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pics Debra xx
ReplyDeleteI love your new old cabinet and it looks perfect in the bathroom. I just has my hubby hang one in the downstairs powder room. It has a mirrored door and a towel rod. I love these old things don't you? And they're practical too! Have a great day. Pamela
ReplyDeleteThat is the fun of tweaking, you always have something else to tweak!
ReplyDeleteCharming little cabinet, Debra. And you found the perfect spot for it. The domino effect gives us a chance to make other changes around our homes!

I have a little cubby that I've been looking for a spot for too. Laughing about how one thing always leads to another. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat find and now in the perfect spot!
ReplyDeleteIt ended up in the PERFECT spot, Debra...looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like me! I'm always replacing something around here. Love the mirrored cabinet you found. I think it's perfect in the bathroom too.
ReplyDeleteThat cabinet is the best Debra. I painted and distressed an ugly old (Goodwill) mirror when we redid our bathroom last year (white, of course) and I'm loving it too. Lucky you it already came perfectly distressed for you! Love it.

Debra,
ReplyDeleteDon't feel alone...we all do this. Buy something then think it might go better somewhere different...only to put it where you thought it should go in the first place. It's a charming chippy cabinet.
Blessings,
Linda

Sometimes it's tough finding a home for that piece that you love. It looks as though you've hit the nail on the head!
ReplyDeleteLike Tom Cruise once said to Renee, "You had me at chippy..."
ReplyDeleteWhat? Oh he didn't say that? Well, I get my movie quotes mixed up. But I love chippy white paint pieces. Perfect spot.
