On the table...

Since our younger daughter and her husband will be hosting Thanksgiving at their home this year, I haven't had to be concerned about a proper tablescape.  But I have changed out a few things on the table last week. I filled my ironstone tureen with about 10 paperwhite bulbs and sat it and my white velvet pumpkin  on my dark harvest-y vintage tray.



The Dining Room has beautiful soft light most of the day.








I took out the "orange" leaves in the windowbox centerpiece
 and in their place added some faux evergreens.

But a bigger change came on the table by swapping out the dark grain sack fabric for this lighter creamy burlap fabric, which I just folded over once lengthwise and left the edges raw. I like the lighter burlap for this week which will soon be changed out for Christmas. I found a wonderful antique grain sack with a red stripe on Etsy from Austria. I'm planning on adding it over the burlap for my Christmas Season tablerunner. I'll share that with you soon, and the Etsy shop I purchased it from.

    Tranquil transition between Thanksgiving and Christmas decor! I didn't make it back in time to get the paperwhite bulbs at our store! But then, there's always "next year"...thanks for sharing the progress of your with me, dear friend!!!

    Hi Debra... everything is so pretty, and I just love your little lambs... I will be at your Marketplace tomorrow, and you know I was thinking... you should do a Marketplace for the Friday after Thanksgiving (I hate the term Black Friday!)... and call it Shop With A Blogger Friday or something... (you know, like Shop with a Cop, which is what I still call it when Jack takes me shopping... he's a retired cop, you know! tee hee hee )... then we can sit at home in our jammies and sip coffee and shop and think how happy we are not fighting the crowds!... xoxo Julie Marie

    Debra, this is just STUNNING!! I wish I'd thought of starting some paperwhites earlier! On Thanksgiving we've been invited to someone's house for dessert and what an awesome hostess gift something like this would have made! As always, love your little lambies!!!... Donna @ An Enchanted Cottage

    Pretty Pretty!!! I have never tried Paper Whites. I love them though. I'm not doing Thanksgiving here (since it's our turn to do Christmas) so I've started sneaking in a few Christmas things already. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for my blogging buddies.

    I love the container you put your paperwhite bulbs in. I know that is going to look so pretty once they finish growing. I like the white burlap used on your table. I always forget about the white color. Can't wait to see your Christmas decor as it gets started!

    Debra, I don't think I told you. You actually motivated me to plant paperwhites this year. I'm curious to see how they do. Do I need to water them alot? BTW your photos are gorgeous.

    I want a big ironstone tureen so bad! I love the bulbs in it, I was about to go buy some for a photo shoot this week. Now I just need a tureen!

    Hi Debra, the Paper whites in your ironstone looks lovely. The added touches with the burlap are such a pleasing vignette.
