I think I finally have my back deck in shape. I re-stained the stairs this week after dropping a full gallon of it in the garage and having a huge mess to clean up. Thank the good Lord I had a full container of paint thinner on hand. So two hours later I finally got started on the project at hand.
Just wanted to share these little flower vignettes that I have out here. This is right off the sunroom and looking out my kitchen window, so I need some "pretty" to look at.
This old iron railing in chippy white was a recent flea market find,
(a 10 dollar deal)
I have several pieces of old fencing out here,
and then the white gate behind the table.
I left these photos as is because the pinks were so vibrant I didn't want to change the photos. The two potted ones in the old cement containers are million-bells.
My favorite Garden Lamb
I think someone or something has been having this one for lunch...
Hope you enjoyed your Mother's Day,
Se you tomorrow for

Great collectibles, flowers and vignettes! I never have painted any of my watering cans but I really like your pink one!
ReplyDeleteOh, my. Sorry you had a mess to clean up. Your deck with the vignettes looks great. Love the old table. No outside work here. It is pouring.

All of it is so very pretty, I've enjoyed all of it!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks absolutly gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Debra! I always loved setting up my patio so I could see "pretties" from the kitchen windows. I've set up the little area outside our condo with some pretty flowers and I do enjoy them when I'm sitting out there or walking past the front door.
ReplyDeleteDebra,
ReplyDeleteEverything is so beautiful. Love the chippy fence. What a great way to use it, as a lovely accent. The pink flowers and watering can add perfect pops of color.
Terrific job!
Everything's so pretty and fresh, Debra. Love the little vignette with the bunny.
ReplyDeleteIt is rabbits that used to eat my petunias.
ReplyDeleteI love the sweet little lamb and the old metal scrollwork against the regular wood banister work. Great juxtapositioning there! Dan JUST restained our deck! It looks GREAT!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks very lovely and inviting Megxx
ReplyDeleteOh, boy, now you've had to take up stripping, too! :@
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were able to remove all that stain from your garage. Your deck is looking good, and obviously the pink flowers are looking yummy...to a bunny? I have problems with squirrels pulling flowers out of my pots and replacing them with peanuts.
Your flower vignettes are so pretty. Some of the flowers are so delicate looking! I love million bells, too!
ReplyDeletenow that looks like a place i'd like to hang out for sure! million bells is a winner in my book and all of your collectibles have made for a sweet and cozy spot to set a while.
ReplyDeletehappy mothers day,
erin

Hi Debra,
ReplyDeleteYou are one busy girl...*hearing* about spilling the stain had me tired..I can only imagine the mess:)
Anyways, I love your deck...I have seen the sewing machine table before on Pinterest but didn't realize it was yours:)...what did you use for the top? I am wanting to do something similar but it definitely needs to be waterproof.
I hope you had a wonderful day!
Rene'
Looks like hard work paid off for sure.. such a peaceful area to look out and see. Inspiring me to get back at
ReplyDeletethe outdoor area just outside my office door....
Hope your Mother's Day was special as well.
Diana

Love all your displays and collectables grouped together. I want a bunny like yours, have been on the hunt for ages.
ReplyDeleteCan't imagine how awful a gallon of stain would be to clean up. ugggh. Don't envy you cleaning up a mess like that.
Love those pretty flowers along with the vintage accents surrounding them. Pink and purple flowers are my favorite! The old iron fencing you used looks so cute out there too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful little spot you have out there. I love the vibrant pinks, just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty post! You're right-the pink is so pretty-- what a pleasant scene to view from your home. Thank you for sharing your lovely flowers with us.
ReplyDeleteDebra - what a beautiful area! I love all your flowers, your lamb, and your chippy white fence (the heart one is awesome!)... Our new Chip is now leaping into our lap for peanuts. That sure didn't take long! I also wanted to share my Mother's Day post today as it features the same Mother Motto/Sampler that you shared the other day! Have a wonderful week :)... Donna

ReplyDeleteOh I feel your paint on the deck and the spill. I just finished a deck restain nightmare! Everything is just lovely, so many pretty things to enjoy it is hard to choose a favorite. Thanks for sharing. Visiting from Between Naps on the Porcyh.
ReplyDeleteLooks so pretty Debra!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to pick up some flowers this week...I'm so behind!
That is a hefty dose of pretty! I would love to have that outside my kitchen window. Nicely done, especially after a "stain accident". You soldiered on. Good work. I found your post at Coastal Charm's Nifty Thrifty Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteLiz
Hi, Debra. I completely agree that the views from our windows are so important! And you've created lovely views for yourself. Love that sweet little lamb. :) I'm your newest follower. ~Zuni

Of course I love all of it, from the green lamb to the ironwork, to the flowers. I shared it on the ranch's FB page because I LOVE IT!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! I love all your flea market finds and of course the pink. Looks like you'll have a beautiful deck to enjoy this summer. It was almost worth that stain spill accident, wasn't it? Hope you're having a great week!
ReplyDeleteOh,Oh OH, Dear Debra, such beautiful photoes from your sunroom, so many things I love out there, apart from the beautifull sunny room.
ReplyDeleteYour old green birdshouse ,the little sweet white one, your iron table-and rusted pieces, and naturally your beautiful flowers all over-your lamb and pine abble -I could go on :-)
You are so lucky to have this wonderful room to decorate after your hearts desire.
Hugs and love,Dorthe
I love all of your vignettes, even the patio looks amazing. Wow. I need to pay attention and get going on my patio. The flowers are stunning too. Thanks tons for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Debra! I see so many things that are similar to mine. I have that same white church birdhouse, and a green birdcage. Also I have a mini rounded watering can similar to yours. What good taste we have, lol! I am still putting my deck and pergola together. Not quite through planting. Can't wait till mine is all decorated. I have to tell you, my mom had cement planters just like your round one when I was growing up. I so wish I had them now! I would love for you to share with my party if you get a chance!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jann
Everything is so Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove your vignettes! The whites with the pinks are just perfect. Love the birdhouse, too.

Debra,
ReplyDeleteYour porch is so pretty and romantic and lovely ... and a perfect view to cheer your day from the kitchen window!
And I love the lamb. Too cute. He (or is it she?) would go perfect with my next door neighbor's beagle pup holding a basket of flowers in his mouth ...
... so very happy that you shared your pretty porch and beautiful vignettes with us at our Great Outdoors link party!
