Just a few pics of Christmas in my Living Room,
as we're gearing up for all the fun tonight.
I found this little snowflake tree last year,
love the simplicity of it.
These are old Christmas Cards from a stash of my grandparents,
in little "dimestore" frames
in little "dimestore" frames
"White" potpourri from TJ Maxx that I found this year.
So far these faux paperwhites are the only ones blooming around here
These are just a few of the presents,
you should see it now!!
The St. Louis kids got here last night, they were running behind schedule do to work and a master bath renovation with workmen still at their house.
We were eating Sushi at 10:00 last night at one of our favorite Asian places.
Can you overdose on sushi...?
I'm thinking the answer may be "yes."...
I found this evergreen cone at "the Vintage Suitcase",
and used dried hydrangeas and faux holly and greens at the base.
Christmas birdies on the coffee table
...and I just kept this sofa table simple
with my basket of faux poinsettia.
It's always been a family tradition to open gifts on Christmas Eve.
So this room will be a happy mess in just a few hours,
hope your day is wonderful.

ReplyDeleteall so breathtakingly gorgeous! Have the most blessed xmas with your loved ones debra! Joyeux noel! ;)
ReplyDeleteDebra,
ReplyDeleteAs a child we opened presents on Christmas Eve, too! When "Mr.Ed" and I married we both began the traditional Christmas morning of opening presents! As the children arrived...Christmas Eve was sacred for the reading of The Christmas Story and Candlelight Service. Then...just before bedtime came the reading of Clement Moore's...'Twas the Night Before Christmas. Our children always had shreeks of glee on Christmas morning! Enjoy your family...shreeks of glee and mounds of Christmas wrapping covering your lovely home...for after all...it's Christmas!!!
Merry Christmas from On Crooked Creek!
Fondly,
Pat
Debra,
ReplyDeleteEverything is so beautiful. I love the vintage Christmas cards.
Growing up we opened our presents on Christmas Eve after the late candlelight service (when it was time to leave for church mom would always 'forget' something, run back in the house and get our Santa packages under the tree).
With our own kids, we might be persuaded to let them open one package on Christmas Eve after church, but most of the time we do it on Christmas morning before breakfast.
Have A Blessed Christmas!
It all looks great, but I especially love your mantel!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful! Merry Christmas, Debra!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks lovely, Debra! I've got to get a move on and get some food prep done. Not sure if we will open gifts with my son tonight or wait until tomorrow morning. Then it's off to my daughters for Christmas day and more gift giving! Have a wonderful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteStopping by to say Merry Christmas and your home looked so beautiful through the season.
