Here's the latest...
My recent Living Room makeover has been accomplished in stages.
The most recent "installment" has been to paint out the sofa table
and then the two chairs flanking it.
I sort of thought I might be able to get away with not doing it...
but no.
It all needed to be white.
(Before)
These chairs took me forever to paint and distress.
all the little detail work was a booger trying to deal with!
They look much prettier in person,
the camera just isn't picking up on all the nuances they now have.
LOVE my sofa table now,
and it has been decluttered of all the family photos
for the time being.
sorry kids...
you know we love ya!
Then I could bring back my faux Staffordshire dogs.
These little barkers may have been "faux",
but they still weren't cheap.
Thanks again for all the great ideas and advice for this to happen,
and speaking of which...
A fun new feature is in the works,
and I need your feedback.
I'll share Thursday afternoon with
Vintage Inspiration Friday!
I'm partying here this week:
links on the sidebar with buttons.
See you Thursday for
xoxo,

ReplyDeletePattie
WOW Debra! It looks fantastic! The white paint makes all the difference in the world, and is such a nice contrast with the wall color! Just love it all together, and those chairs are so lovely! I suddenly feel the urge to grab a can of my white spray paint and make something over!!!
ReplyDelete:o) Have a wonderful evening.

I love the transformation the white makes. So what is keeping me from getting my painting done? Your room makeover is an inspiration, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I agree, they had to go white, too, Debra! They look great! Those chairs are fabulous ~ reminds me of the detailed one I got at the thrift store and had just about as much detail as yours. What did you do for the seats? Dropcloth? It looks like that Osnaberg fabric {which I think I still have a yard or two of}.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful Debra!
ReplyDeleteI love the chairs and the table!
So different!
It just keeps getting better! I know you are tired, but it's fun too, I bet!
ReplyDeletePamela @ From My Front Porch To Yours is going to be hosting Treasure Hunt Thursday. There is absolutely no need for me to try.
I put up a post 2 days ago, and I have had one comment. The other Blue Creek Home is still getting my traffic.
Come over sometime - it's lonesome over here!
Love the room!
Rhonda

Debra, it looks so nice! I love the difference. At first when you talked about it and showed us the whole room I thought you should keep some natural wood in there but, it looks much prettier in white. Also, the pretty carving really stands out now. Beautiful!! Pamela
