I still have a few more Christmas shots,
especially now that the new camera has arrived.
Santa is on his sunroom baker's rack perch.
look chilly out there?
brrrrr... it IS!!
And downstairs, Mr. Frosty shares a basket
with a somewhat strange old photo
of Santa and some elves.
Be sure and double click on the bigger photo,
then try not to be creeped out.
Paperwhites in the kitchen.
I always plant about 50 bulbs during the winter season
in various vintage containers.
I can't say that I love their aroma,
but I DO love their delicate blossoms.
So I put up with "stinky".
And the Holiday Cupboard downstairs
which is usually the first thing to be decorated,
didn't get as much attention this season.
Hmmmm...
Our family room downstairs is darker than the rest of the house,
A great place to curl up by the fireplace,
and watch a movie.
We like it warm and cozy.
Hey, only one more

Oh Debra,
ReplyDeleteIt's all so pretty. I'm only mildly creeped out by Santa and the elves. I actually really like the picture. Don't you just imagine it was some community event somewhere like Minnesota back in the 20's or so? How fun.
Happy WW and I'll see you Friday,
Judy
I love that old photo! Really incredible. What a find! I love all of your decorations...thanks for showing us more.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Debra~ I love the funny old elves photo! Not something you see everyday!
ReplyDeleteHi Debra,
ReplyDeleteI actually "LOVE" that creepy picture of Santa and the elves... Believe it or not, my Mom was from the TIP TOP of Maine and she used to go to school in a sleigh like that(But Much Bigger). It was big enough that she said they had a fire going on it to keep them warm... I just can't picture that, WOW! AND she said they did stuff like PICTURED in the picture at Christmas time...I don't know if they were actually all dressed exactly alike, like in your picture BUT, It is what I thought of when I saw your picture...AND I LOVE IT!!! Thank you SO much for sharing it with us...Merry Christmas to you and yours... BIG HOLIDAY HUGS to you, Donna
You certainly do go all out with your decorations....everything looks so beautiful and festive.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Kathleen

Debra, So happy to see your comment....above all God has been present in my life and blessed me in so many ways. That's one of the biggest reasons I stayed. I wanted to try in every faithful way possible to follow his words and feel I had done my best. We were together to 14 years and I suffered the abuse for eight. God has graced me in so many ways and continues to heal me and bring peace and joy into my life. HE hears me heart. But then you know that already don't you...With Love, Jennifer
ReplyDeleteSuch beauty you have shared! The pretty blooms are worth the stinky! LOL Happy Holidays to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteRoselle
That IS kind of a weird photo of Santa with the "elves". I wonder what country that was taken in? I agree with you about paperwhites. They seem stinky to me too, but I adore their simple blooms, especially during the wintertime. You're taking some great photos, girly! Must be you're liking that camera! :) Merry Christmas to you!
