Vintage Black Friday
is here again
and I almost missed it!
Jill, from Gypsy Brocante's
wonderful Friday Party from last Fall
is returning to the French Cupboard,
the first Friday of each month.
I found this wonderful turn of the century graphic
a few years ago at a local flea market.
It's original glass was broken,
so I paid a small fraction of what it was worth.
I had the glass replaced, and saved the original piece
then recycled it into smaller sizes.
I couldn't throw it away.
It was all wavy and bubbly.
This usually hangs in our stairway,
but the lighting is poor,
so I had to bring it to the Dining Room.
Sorry the glare is so distracting.
I love the black frame and background,
and those sweet "lily of the valley".
I love the sweet sentiment.
It is a prayer to me.
God Bless Our Homes
I'm so excited that Black Friday is returning!

ReplyDeleteLove the graphic design on it and of course the lily of the valley... reminds me of that old hymn "He's the lily of the valley, He's the bright and morning star, He's the fairest of tenthousand...something-something to God in prayer. Ha, Somehthing like that, haven't heard it in years.

I have a number of decorative pieces that have Lily of the Valley motifs. The flower is so sweet and fragrant, a favorite of mine. By the way, I have also kept pieces of broken glass to be used for other purposes in making pendants and stuff with them, wrapped in copper tape.
ReplyDeleteYour find is so nice! God Bless YOU..Sharon
