Sometimes, just a few small change-ups can make a space more seasonal. And since you all know that I'm a certified pillow fanatic, that's just what a pillow switch accomplished. Last week we had one of the warmest days so far, so I thought I might need to put away the furry leopard print pillows and the animal print PB throw. Instantly lighter and more "summery".
These next few pics were taken at Christmas,
and I think that's the last time I even shared photos of the Living Room.
This was before we had much up on the wall.
We still don't have a lot, but there was even less at Christmas.
This is why I love a neutral space,
it's so much easier to change things up.
I made these very simple floral pillows for both sofa's
a few years ago as an option at the old house.
This one is a hand lettered calligraphy pillow from The Feathered Nest.
These are from Restoration Hardware a few years ago.
My sis made this monogrammed pillow for me for Christmas
a while back with her Silhouette Machine.
Funny, I hadn't even thought about these pillows until I was rummaging
around in my quilt and pillow storage.
Having things visible makes it so much easier to see what might work.
If I had limitless funds,
I'd buy these same rugs in the mushroom color too,
for a lighter Summer look.
A large sisal rug would be an option, but with chewing kitties,
I think I'll stick with the ones I have.
Hope you all had a great weekend,
We worked in the garage and storage room downstairs,
still unpacking wayward boxes and organizing.
