Hopefully, even though it's after Christmas, you can still enjoy seeing a bit more Christmas around my house. Before Christmas we were unexpectedly hit with some emergency home maintenance situations that required several days away from my already packed schedule. We had a roof leak that all the sudden required attention and that meant traveling around our area to view homes with roof options. I've learned that it's important to look at roofing at multiple "real life" residences. I've seen some big mistakes in roofing choices so we made sure which would work best with our taupe brick ranch before signing on the dotted line. I'm looking forward to the update. Our current roof is blah, blah, blah brown and does nothing for curb appeal.
Early in December I shared the Garden Room in White with the tabletop vignette in a garden tray. When I did that I reworked my white desk to coordinate with the white tabletop, so my Santa in the Seedbox needed to be reset in another place. Here are the pics from that early December Father Christmas Seed Box vignette. (unpublished)
Here are the Seed Box versions from October and Thanksgiving.
My old seed box is a favorite spot for small holiday pieces.
If you missed this post on the Holiday Cupboard you can see it HERE.
My very old church pew is dressed for Christmas
with Tartan plaid wool and toile pillows.

Thanks for coming by to visit my last minute Christmas Home. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Celebration with family and friends. We've had a full week of fun!
Did you catch my last post in the Christmas Dining Room?

Hi Debra. I am sorry you had a roof issue. That has to be a big headache and expense especially at this time of year. I hope you can get that fixed and get the one you like. Love your garden room. The old fashion Santa is really cool. Happy New Year. Hoping for better days ahead. Hugs. Kris
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Kris!!
DeleteI will always love seeing your holiday decor, so feel free to keep it coming. And I love it all, though I must say, I am particularly enamored of your seed box. And your baking stand. It never ceases to amaze me how two identical baking racks -- yours and mine -- can look so different (the difference being those lower shelves on mine are a TOTAL wreck with food that doesn't fit in the cupboards and an assortment of other things! Yours is tidy, elegant and homey -- and wonderful! You are inspiring me to do some cleaning and organizing and at the very least make that mess underneath a little tidier!
ReplyDeleteThankyou Jeanie, your comments are always so kind and you inspire me! I'm the one with the bottom shelves which are always a mess. Have a very special and Happy New Year!!
DeleteOh no! I’m so sorry to hear about your roof, but I’m so glad y'all caught it early. At least it sounds like you did! I hope everything works out with your color choice too, because I can imagine that’s a worriesome decision, once it’s on, it’s on! If it’s possible to share a picture once it’s done, but still protect your privacy, I’d love to see it. If not, that’s ok! As for your Christmas decor, it’s all so stunning and I love those seed boxes. And I just love the bakers rack. I see rhem on sale on Marketplace a lot, people seem to be moving on from them, but I’ve always loved them and wish I had room for one. Maybe someday!
ReplyDeleteMy silly old baker's rack has been endless fun to decorate over the years. Thanks so much for the sweet comment. I'll be sure and share our new roof when it's on. Hopefully by the end of January, because right now we have a big patch up there to keep the leak away. I came by and visited your blog, and really enjoyed your posts! Love the visits to local shops and restaurants. Kentucky is a beautiful place. Thanks for coming by and Happy New Year!!!
