Hi there friends, today I'm sharing a chunk of Easter inspiration, because Easter will be here in just a few short weeks. I've been blogging for about 14 years and have a few Spring and Easter posts in the archive that I hope are still current and relevant. I was concentrating on ideas for Easter cloches, so I thought I'd share this one specifically, because it contains 3 versions of an Easter cloche.
This is from 2015 at our last home, and contains ideas for cloches, tablerunners, and a vintage wicker florist basket.
It all started with this wonderful multi-colored Waverly Toile fabric I found for a new table runner in my Dining Room. I knew I wanted something "Green" for Spring, but wasn't sure which direction I wanted to go. Once I saw this, I knew it would make the perfect backdrop for a Country French inspired Easter Brunch Buffet.
I brought out my wedding "china", which isn't really china, but French Faience. Faience is an earthenware tin-glazed pottery, hand painted and kiln fired. Some of the individual flowers are almost 3-Dimensional to the touch. They vary in depth and hue, as each one is painted by hand.
I wanted to mix the bright handmade florals of the Faience with my small Staffordshire, English teapots and a few cloches. It's perfect for a vintage inspired tablescape for an intimate Spring Brunch and Tea. As you can see I've invited a few special "friends" to the gathering.
I didn't actually host the buffet but having fun bringing out vintage pieces, pottery, and thinking up ways to display all the elements. The most fun was putting together the cloches.
I just happened to find these two vintage Easter graphic stand-ups years ago at a vintage market boutique. I've never seen them again, but the graphics are available on the internet and with a little tweaking you could make your own standup plywood or cardboard Lamb and Rabbit for Spring and Easter decor.
A flat of Purple Pansies enticed me to bring out my cloches for "Spring under Glass". Since the concept for a cloche is to use for live plants, I especially enjoyed planting some spring blooms in a vintage floral china teapot.

The Ironstone tureen, one of my favorite pieces, is French Opaque de Sarreguemines, from the late 1800's.
The smaller cloches needed a less fussy approach, so it ended up being vintage clay pots, moss, and a single egg. I love using vintage florist baskets for small "vignettes", and this was fun to squeeze a clay pot inside for easy access for the utensils.
Here are a few examples of Easter cloche ideas with plenty of different themes. Bunnies and rabbits, lambs, china cups, nests, eggs, live plants, and prints and graphics. I think anything and everything looks more special under glass, but combining elements and building a small "vignette" within the dome takes it to a higher level.
Here is the same cloche vignette I used for the buffet table but I added a bit more. While the rabbit and grapevine nest are sweet, I like to see a cloche extend upward and fill the space. I did that here using faux ivy.

Books and greenery add dimension and "fill" the space. Moss and greenery are always a wonderful base to build on.
Adding dishes and china to the mix gives more color and a base for display.
Prints and graphics help fill the space and give more interest in a larger dome.

Eggs and nests with an organic feel are perfect for Easter into later Spring.

Live plants work beautifully in a cloche, since that is what they were originally created for in the garden with new plantings. Planting some ferns in a silver creamer make it organic and elegant. Notice the wood slices as a base for many of the cloches. It gives an organic feel for many of the nature inspired elements.
