Vintage Conservatory Valentine Entry

Hello Friends, are you doing some decorating for Valentine's Day? Today I'm sharing last year's Entry with a vintage botanical theme. I wanted to put together a romantic Valentine's Day vignette in the Entry, but I wanted to do something just a little different than my usual Valentine decor. Any time I can create a setting with a "vintage garden/botanical" theme I'm excited, because vintage-garden goods are some of my favorite items.

I usually have a Paperwhite bouquet here in the entry this time of year, but I kept out an arrangement of faux Amaryllis and star lilies and another small single Amaryllis that I used for Christmas. Then I thought I'd just go for a more botanical look with a wild vine with white winterberries draped around the antique mirror. 

I love using this antique metal cupid tray for Valentine's Day, and I thought I'd bring in my concrete garden cupid statue to help celebrate and keep the theme going with the look of an old Conservatory / Greenhouse feel.

I love the look of layering mirrors, frames, and prints for a true vintage feel.

A stack of red antique books tied with a satin ribbon and a handmade crown for cupid bring in some color and sparkle. This crown was made by a friend's daughter years ago when I had a vintage market space. It was during the height of shabby/French decorating.

My vintage concrete cupid garden statue is usually in the Garden Room, but I brought him in here to celebrate Valentine's Day on the console and create a more conservatory look.

I usually just have the round antique mirror above the console, but I decided to layer the gothic window frame and an ornate cream and gold antique frame for a little more romantic Victorian feel.

I like to think that Valentine's Day brings us just a bit closer to Spring. And if I can use some beautiful florals and botanicals to give us a small glimpse of what's to come then it's all the more to celebrate. So far our January weather has been relatively mild. Before Christmas we were in the deep freeze but more moderate lately. We're expecting a bit of snow this weekend, but nothing like last year's horrible temps.
