Vintage Cottage Weekend: Mother's Day Blessings

Hello dear Friends, I know you all have a busy day today for Mother's Day, so I just wanted to drop by and share a few quick pics from previous Mother's Day posts. I want to wish you all a beautiful day filled with love and family and joyous memories of Mother's Day past and precious hopes for the future.

I have a small collection of hatboxes and a few hats that I keep in my office, and this yellow just seemed the right one for Mother's Day. I think the summer hat with roses was probably from the 40's. It's so very feminine, with small pieces of netting still attached to the band; perfect for a vintage mom's Sunday's best all those years ago. And every lady had her white gloves to finish off the look. 

I don't have a lot of floral china, but this lovely little covered tureen and platter from Homer Laughlin, "The Angelus" pattern, is one of my favorites. It's perfect for a Mother's Day luncheon.
