Hi Friends, wow, it's so hard to believe that the July 4th holiday is just around the corner! Are you getting into the Summer groove? A few weeks ago I brought out my traditionally summer French Faience and exchanged the Green Transferware in the Holiday Cupboard here in the Garden Room.
I wanted to try something a little different this year,
so I added a few of my summery floral teapots
along with some seed packets, and little patriotic flags.
Of course there are a few pieces of English Cottageware
to go with the English Staffordshire teapots and ironstone.
The Majolica platter along the back of the cupboard
is vintage Fitz and Floyd.
I love the little raspberries and basket weave design.
Lambie celebrates with a patriotic bit of wired ribbon as a scarf.
Here are a few pics to check out from
We're in the watering mode here in SW Missouri.
So far we've had a little rain each week, thank goodness,
but you never know when that might get a little sparse.
With me being a little more "mobile",
Hubby is enjoying the outdoor duties a bit more.
He helped me cut a few Hydrangeas from the front bush
so I'll try to share them this weekend.
Hope you're having a great week!
Hope you'll come back Monday evening...

Debra,
ReplyDeleteI love how this sweet cupboard looks all decked out in it's Patriotic finery!!! That is such a pretty pattern on those dishes!! So charming!! Hope you are starting to feel a bit better....Thanks for sharing!! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
Hugs,
Debbie
thankyou Debbie, hope you're having a great week!
DeleteI really enjoy how just a small flag tucked here and there makes all the difference in patriotic decor. Your cupboard looks great. Back when I was young, dumb and didn't know what treasures were, I'd go with my mom to the Fitz and Floyd outlet store near us. She'd ooh and ah and buy things that I thought were a waste of money. I wish I would have known what a great place that was back then. Dang it! I guess that means I just have to keep hunting for them in antique stores. Or pry them from my mothers hands.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty Debra. Hope you are doing good and feeling better. Happy Thursday.

Debbra, as always it looks festive. I love the way your change up your cupboard, and have to say, your French faience set is wonderful. I have tubs of patriotic things, but admit I've brought out very little. With our remodel going on, I'm not inclined to unpack thing4thhs. I hope to be completely organized once again soon.
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th!
Sounds like your recovery is progressing- yay! The entire cabinet looks great (I admire your get-up-and-go to change it so often!). I love the Fitz & Floyd platter and the sweet lamb with patriotic ribbon. My poor little flock has been relegated to a powder room that doesn't get used much in our condo (so few guests!). Hope each day keeps getting better for you, Debra.
ReplyDeleteHi Debra. It sounds like you are feeling better and I'm so glad. I think this is quite the best display in your pretty little cupboard up against the white. Something about the flowers scattered on those beautiful dishes and the flags are just perfect..Have a wonderful weekend..xxoJudy
ReplyDeletehi Debra! Good to hear you are venturing outside a little. I hope you are feeling a bit better every day. I love your cabinet all decked out in red, white and blue! That French Faience pattern is just lovely! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
