French Country Spring Dining Room

Hi Friends, how's your March coming along? 

It's my Birthday month and a transitional time for spring inspiration.

I'm slowly but surely getting some spring things out

and it's lifting my spirits after a long winter.

My big Italian metal basket is back on the Dining Room table. 

Spring-y hydrangeas and ivy are the base for whatever else

might be added as the seasons change.

I added my little French-y goat cart in gray to the tableau on the table,

with my lamb tureen nestled in a mossy green wreath.

One of my iron urns is filled with faux paperwhites 

tied with a brown check wired ribbon.

I like to keep the bottom of the wagon lined with a bed of moss. 

It's a pretty way to keep things grounded and organic.

I have a beautiful Waverly green floral toile table runner

that I always used for early spring.

But now at this house it's not where the others are stored,

so I'm hoping it has just been mistakenly packed in a storage box.

I opted for this light neutral floral instead.

Not many spring colors but still works.

The little wagon was originally black

but I painted it French Gray in spring a few years ago 

and I'm so glad I did.

Now it blends in so much better.

After Christmas I gathered a few little lambs 

and used them under cloches on the buffet.

At that time they were accessorized with pinecones and greenery.

I like the look, 

so I decided to just change out the florals

for a spring-y look.

A few pieces of tarnished silver serving dishes

help elevate the little lamby vignettes.

Nothing like the light shining through the glass cloches

to see the dust. Yuk. Sorry. 

I cleaned these off a week ago but you sure can't see it!

... sweet little lamb faces.

I can never get enough no matter the season.

I wanted to keep the Dining Room more low-key "spring"

so this decor could stay put for a bit,

and save the Easter decor for the Garden Room.
