My focus on getting back in the decor groove after the Holidays has been on my Dining Room table. At the beginning of the New Year I tend to want to go with more neutral elements since I'm usually oversaturated with color from Christmas. I've been gathering inspiration for a French Country Farmhouse feel that I could use in my Dining Room without going shopping.
Here is some wonderful inspiration from Pinterest that gave me a few ideas for a new look this early January. It's winter, so I wanted to keep that "winter-y" feel with texture and color. Some of these photos are not located on a table, but would work equally well as a centerpiece or grouping.
You will see photos from Edith and Evelyn Vintage over and over. Cindy's blog is a perfect expression of French Country. She and her husband have just moved from Missouri to Alabama, so be sure and visit her and her new home when you can.
Containers with florals or naturals
Linen or grain sack table runner
Baskets and Trays
Create a Tabletop Tableau
Lanterns
Topiaries
Alter Candlesticks
Pottery and Ironstone
Tabletop wheelbarrows and carts
Demijohns
wooden boxes
Once I had pinned all these images,
I was surprised at how much easier it was to put something together.
You can find these pics and more at my

Next post I'll share what I finally came up with for my own table.
