The farmhouse tabletop in the Garden Room has become my favorite spot to put together a grouping that lets me use my vintage wooden ice cream bucket with seasonal faux naturals. I like to keep my floral arrangements and faux flowers coordinating with what is currently seasonal. So right now I have my bucket filled with a mix of evergreen stems and Fall leaves. I see that all around me in mid November
I added my big resin turkey that I painted several years ago, and a small faux evergreen tree to my pumpkin. I found these smallish burlap grain sacks on Amazon so I layered one on top of my antique grain sack for a little interest. My little quail is perched to keep an eye on everything.
I've really enjoyed my vintage whitewashed wooden bucket
by just stuffing a bunch of random floral stems inside.
It doesn't take a lot of planning or arranging,
just grab some different elements and have at it.
I had to do some quick rearranging in here a week or two ago when we started having freezing temps. I brought in a couple of my ratty baker's racks and did some quick clean up to find a place for the live plants that I decided I wanted to save. I didn't keep any of the big Boston ferns, but I had some smaller varieties that I thought I could overwinter. The squirrels had gotten the shelves filthy and the paint is a mess, but I'm using them as is.
Our older daughter was here this week for a day or two and we had such a wonderful visit. Time to sit and talk about what she's up to and drink hot tea, and laugh till we needed to wear Depends. I needed that. I've had some more health things going on. A combination of heart and Autoimmune junk which has caused me some breathing issues. It's been going on since summer, and I'm just now getting some understanding on it. Here's a selfie while we were out with the family for dinner. Sorry it's blurry, it's just a moment in time that is so precious.
p.s. hurray, we contracted with another landscaping group.
Let's say they are more professional than the last two.
see you Monday evening,
