I wanted to do more of a "Winter" themed mantel instead of just Christmas, because honestly, I'm usually ready to "un-decorate" the day after Christmas. Having more of a seasonal theme goes a long way to keeping things easy around here.
I'm using one of my old window boxes that we rebuilt from the old house as the centerpiece. I've used it many times before on the Dining Room Table since it's not too big or wide and it makes an easy way to contain candles and greenery for the table.
I started with three small table-top faux Christmas trees that are bagged in burlap. Then I added in some red berry picks, extra faux greenery and then some variegated faux Hydrangeas along the base. White lights and part of my collection of small Ironstone Pitchers line up in front.
Two of my small Boxwood Topiaries and my smaller PB lanterns are at both ends.
I'll be adding in some fresh Boxwood clipping next week.
The Hearth has a place for my Woodland Santa and the French Wagon, along with my pair of carved wooden candlesticks and my small olive bucket candle.
My Topiaries are fixtures here on the Hearth,
but they always get a new wired ribbon for the Holiday.

Thank you so much for featuring my kitchen post. ;)
ReplyDeleteI am like you and I love the Christmas decor but the day after- it's gone! It feels so good at that point to declutter and get ready for a new year.
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas, Debra. :)
Your Christmas mantel looks beautiful. I love how you used a planter there and the ironstone pitchers. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Debra! You always do such a festive and classic look. The window boxes a great idea for layering. I love your hearth, too.
ReplyDeleteI hope to link up next week. I'm still working on the tree!

It is all so pretty Debra. I love that you can use that sweet and cute wagon to decorate differently for each holiday. That sweet little wagon makes me smile. Have fun this weekend and into the next week getting ready for the big day.
