My Favorite Urn...For Fall

I've had this Pottery Barn Urn for the last 5 years I think, and I have to say it's one of my favorite pieces to use in decor. It's almost always in use no matter what the season, but Fall has to be my favorite look. 

It's just the right size to plop in a big fat pumpkin, 

no matter whether it's faux or real.

I keep my weathered wood tray with wire on the bottom here most of the time. An old piece of burlap protects the paint on my coffee table. I love "distressed", it just needs to be distressed in the right places! Wooden chalk painted candle holders, an antler, and some velvet pumpkins make up the rest.

That pic is one of my highest clicked on and repinned from Pinterest.

I think that must have been 2012, even before we started watermarking our photos.

I don't think I even had PicMonkey (Picnic) back then, 

I would have lightened it up a bit in front.

This pumpkin is a faux, but I repainted it. 

Last week I painted all the rest of my faux stash,

and I did several in blue/green, greens and grays.

I think they look pretty real, I'll show them to you soon

since they're in the Dining Room.

We finally got around to watching this amazing movie;

Hubbs isn't a fan of chick flicks or literature,

but I think he almost enjoyed this one.

While many of you were reading Jane Austen in Jr. High and High School,

I was living in romantic angst with Thomas Hardy.

It had been so long I'd forgotten most of it,

every bit as good as the Julie Christie version from 1967.
